Assuming the game makes it. What XI and formation for the visit of the league leaders?
Offline

Richards
SCH Graham KK
Strain camera Stephenson ferry
Dolcek sapsford Fatah
Too much of a gamble for AMB to start in goals, would put him in week after. Get Dolcek back in team (won’t happen). Toss up between KK and lovu for me.

Curious as to why you are so keen to get Dolcek back in the team, I know he is a talented player but he has made zero effort in any recent appearances and looks completely uninterested.

He’s been one of the few bright sparks at one point this season, that front 3 was brilliant at times, he’s been hung out to dry on a few occasions by goodwin- baffled why he hasn’t been giving another run in the team imo
Might not give you much help going back the way but he should be in the team for what he offers going forward- but that isn’t any use to Goodwin. After all he is a winger

This where the great coaches like Ferguson and Wee Jim would work their magic. Arm round the player, tell him he's the next Maradona. If you score every week son you won't have to defend. Go out and show the world how good you are.

Hasn't made the last two sub benches.
If he doesn't make Saturday's (and i don't think he will), then i think it's safe to say he's finished at Utd and his loan will probably be ended before the window shuts.
A shame, because he showed he has talent. But last Summer feels a long time ago now, sadly.

You say he should be in the team for what he offers going forward but with the exception of his first 5-6 games he has offered nothing at all going forward and looks lazy and uninterested. If the limited game time he has had recently saw him working hard and trying to make things happen then I would be all for giving him a run in the team hoping he can recapture his early season form but his recent efforts don’t deserve a starting spot.
No idea if something has happened off the pitch or he has failed to settle in the city but he looks a shadow of the player we saw in the early games which is a great shame as he is clearly a talented player.

It was reported there was a clause in Stephenson’s loan that if we played him X amount of times the loan couldn’t be cut.
Dolcek has made 24 apps, wonder if his number is 25

I wasn't meaning the Dolcek situation could be resolved now, it looks to have reached the end for club and player. I was meaning maybe the situation could have been avoided with better man management.
If I recall correctly I think Middleton got the same treatment, track back with energy or you don't play. The change in the way Middleton played made it obvious he'd been spoken to about defence. I admit the Dolcek stuff is speculation because nothing's been said outside the club. But a player who was on fire, central to our early season success suddenly can't get on the subs bench would seem to indicate there's been at the very least a difference of opinion.
I don't see Braga or Kyrizydis having to track back and cover defensively (they do occasionally) but Hearts play joined up football through midfield and the team moves forward and back as one unit.
We have a coach who had one of our best ever defensive records last season and he's abandoned that system and signed up to a dogged 343 with a high defensive line with soft defenders like Iovu Bert and KK who aren't suited to a 343 and a high line.
Goodwin has wrecked the possibility of a top 6 finish with his 343 obsession.
Time and again he's left 2 midfielders outgunned against 3 opponents due to this crazy obsession and then the 2 midfielders get the blame from some fans when it's the manager who's hung them out to dry because he's too stubborn to change it.

Agree with a lot of that Reddy.
Three players in the last year have started on fire and then fizzled out.
David Babunski, Max Watters and Ivan Dolcek.
Food for thought.

Someone on EF suggesting Sapsford and Farugia might be doubtful and are training separately from the rest.

Surprised to hear that.
Maybe, precautionary if they have a bit of a bug or something.

Hopefully just that if true, sounds like a good reason to be separated from the rest

What was said on EF?
Very good source but not sure if it’s transfer related (doubt it) or injured, but he’s not in the starting 11 tomorrow

Just that Sapsford and Farugia were training separately from the rest of the squad and they were doubtful, that sounds more illness than injury to me tbh

Cheers lads.
Hopefully nothing major and just getting back to 100%
On that note I was also told no Pan tomorrow. Well certainly not starting.

See if that's because of his comments last week, that's absolutely pathetic.

The other day Jim said we had a full squad apart from Sevelj and Pappoe, doesn't sound like it now

New keeper starts
Sapsford and Camara on the bench.
2 man midfield again.
Punts to #Haddie 2 incoming.
I'm also expecting our pitch to get hammered in the press for about a week.
