You do realise they make stuff up? 😀

They'll leak a story to the Daily Ranger that they've had an offer of £3million rejected for x player when in reality they offered €500,000.
It's all smoke and mirrors with them.

Yeah has to be,no fucking way they'd turn down an offer like that to recoup the money they wasted on the cunt in the first place 🤣

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

It's made the Courier, so must be a decent element of truth to it, but we've apparently offered Jess Randall a pre-contract for next season, a Kiwi playiong in the Aussie Leagues for FC Adelaide Koala Botherers or something.

"Don't F*cking ever offer me that again!"

Auckland fc who lead the A-league and have an average of 18k fans per game. According to espn hes scored 5 in 14 games from the wing (1 goal less than sam cosgrove).

Could still be terrible and even if hes a good free scoring winger, we can turn him defensive and ruin his goalscoring streak 🤣

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

We all know and appreciate football is a very different game these days, but how depressing is it, that Dolcek, a guy that can take a goal, produce something that bitty special, is out of favour because he's not great defensively?

If we play with a front 3, that's 8 behind the ball, if the opposition attack they'd at worst go man for man at the back.

Keep the front 3 pushed up.

We still haul everyone back at a corner, there's their keeper, at least 1 defender back and their kicker out the game, push 3 upfront.

Annoys the life out of me. Very, very frustrating Mr Goodwin.

I don't think he dosent play because of his lack of defensive ability.  On a number of occasions he has looked like he can't be arsed when we are out of possession That is no good for a team like United.
Players like Neymar & Mbappe can get away with that not Ivan Dolcek

Jesse Randall is doing well at the a-league level. Fast, good positional sense and can finish.

Its a big change going from playing in NZ and Australia to scottish football, different weather and different style of football. I've been surprised at how well Sapsford has adapted.

An interesting wee thread on Randall for those that enjoy deeper statistical analysis on players. Looks a really direct winger with an actual end product.

Makes our goalkeeping situation a little stronger and let’s be honest, he’s not got much to live up too this season for us.

Outstanding business from the club

Charlton must have pished themselves when the offer came in

A fee for a guy who is out of contract in 6 months and what do United give him? A 6 month deal

Have you asked yourself whether it's all worth it? I used to think I was a miserable cunt but I've not seen one single positive post from you and tbh it's all a bit boring. The lad is out of contract in 6 months yes,but he's still under contract though right? A lot of clubs pay significant fees for players who have signed a pre contract and would be theirs in a few months time for nothing, where's the difference? Just constantly knocking the club no matter what and taking no joy out of supporting United, doesn't make sense to me.
I've seen the lad save a couple of penalties in a shootout but other than someone saying he clicks his heels together or some shite I know nothing about him,but ffs give him the chance to disappoint first eh?

Not bored at all. I am concerened at the way our team is being managed.

I have said nothing on his ability, never seen the guy - so that is good of you to make things up in your own thick skull.

Usually though, Dross manager = Dross Signings

Just you keep happy clapping

"It's getting boring" yet here you are

Happy clapper.

I think if you read my posts you'll realise I'm not a happy clapper, but fuck me you just moan constantly. We've no doubt paid a nominal fee to bring him in now and there's a club held option to extend so just not seeing your objection to the business part of the deal at all. Im here because I read and post on this board but you come across as someone whos never gonna be happy and your posts are getting boring.Everyone is in agreement that we needed another keeper, so with Donnaruma being already taken, the club have tried within our limitations to address that need. I'm not gonna fall apart just because youve doubted my intelligence though so crack on bud

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

I moan constantly because we are being run without ambition.

From board to academy we are crap in every department.

Our league “rivals” are so far ahead of us.

I moan because I watch our shitebag manager week in and week out play the same disgraceful style that is costing us our identity.

A once proud club challenging for cups now basically happy to stay in the league.

The same manager that has had his arse handed to him by Tony Docherty twice. And Steven Pressley ffs.

We are going nowhere any time soon.

I haven’t seen one criticism come his way regarding kucherenko (who watched him) before signing.

The last January window was an abomination and he has had no flack for the signings of Ruari Paton etc.

VDS was that bad people didn’t complain they just turned him into a gimmick.

Our whole recruitment structure for a club of our size is a disgrace and it needs sorted before we become the new Dunfermline.

I moan yes because I can see where we are going.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

He (Conway) isn't wrong with what he is saying. I feel like, as a club, we should be in a stronger position. Although the European hangover seems very real with Scottish clubs. I do hope it's a small downturn for a bigger upswing.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

Here's what I don't get with the Conway take on things.  According to him we are an absolute catastrophe, but we are pretty much on a par with Aberdeen this year in league terms (yes, they've punted their manager , but he has had literally millions to spend more than Goodwin.  Yes Motherwell and Falkirk are having stellar years, but history tells us that won't last.  OK we are not doing as well as we did last year but its pretty marginal.  So for me we are maybe one or two league places below where we 'should' be, but no need for panic.  A year of consolidation is fine.  It will happen to Falkirk next year (or sooner).

Is all rosy at the club?  No, but I actually think we are in a far better post-Asghar position then I expected to be at this stage.  Do I want to see the back of Ogren?  Yes - as he is the idiot that believed Asghar.  He has however spent some money since and I don't have too much of an issue with him not wanting to spend in January - I am sure the likes of Paton, Campbell and Fiorini are just not money not worth spending if that is the standard out there, affordable (to us) and available.

I don't doubt Conway is as 'good' an Arab as the rest of us, but I feel a bit sorry for him as there just seems to be little joy for him in following United.  Now if 'joy' was the thing people wanted most then I don't think you'd follow United out of logical choice, so we are all probably stuck with them, but I have taken joy from watching them this season and felt gutted at times also, but is that not part of being a United fan (and fans of most clubs?  If you can't take at least some joy the downs must be painful.

I could be wrong here but I have to wonder if there's a clue when he claims Dundee FC are ahead of us in every metric.

As far as I can tell it's the other way round.
