Re: Aberdeen Vs Dundee United - Saturday 27th December (5.45PM)

Would probably have taken a point beforehand given the amount of injuries and suspensions we have (again).

Frustrating though once again to be in the lead and again surrender two points. It's been the story of our season.

Felt the defence were overall excellent considering the amount of possession Aberdeen had in the first half, we kept them to very few goalscoring opportunities the entire match, and it's therefore doubly frustrating that once again a Goalkeeping error has ultimately cost us a win.

My Player ratings -

Richards 7 - Overall i felt Dave was once again very steady, but unfortunately he massively blots his copy book by palming the shot that Karlsson nets from the rebound.

Iovu 8 - Outstanding.

Esselink 7 - One horror moment when he let the ball bounce in the box. Other than that he was pretty solid, though it's becoming more and more apparent by the week that he's our weakest Centre Half.

Keresztes 7 - Solid if unspectacular.

Sevelj 9 - Outstanding and back to his best. Who said he can't play midfield?👀

Sibbald 7 - Not his most effective match, but battled hard, as per.

Naamo 7 - I think i was harsh on him when i questioned why he was made a priority signing ahead of some others. I'm starting to see that he is a useful player for us.

Ferry 7 - Been much more like himself this past month.

Sapsford 6 - A bit out of sorts today. Need to manage him properly, played a lot of football compared to some others in the squad.

Watters 5 - Crap. Looks lazy, bored and disinterested. Looked like he went off injured as well. If that's the case i'd strongly considering ending his loan in January.

Fatah 8 - Just love watching this guy play for United. Not a lot came off for him today, but then out of nothing he goes and provides us with that moment of genuine quality to put us ahead. Reminds me so much of Jerren Nixon, even more so today wearing the wooly black gloves.

Subs -

Moller 5 - Tries hard, but offers nothing.

Dolcek 6 - Showed a couple of flashes today for the first time in a while. Would perhaps start him against Livi to see if he can play himself back into some kind of form.

Trapanovski 5 - Didn't have enough time to really do anything of note.

Finally, 20,000 crowd for a United~Aberdeen match. That's an 80's crowd.

Honestly, why is it that much of an annoyance? We are severely depleted and it was probably just to fill the bench. Hardly the big issue though is it?

Wind yer neck in bud eh.

Shut up eh? It was a genuine question, why not just provide an answer?

Have a read of the original post from myself. It was a QUESTION.

Yeah I answered your question if you read my post.  In fairness it was probably wrong to aim the question just to yourself, it just seemed that people had issue with it when personally I saw it as a minor detail. Probably should have used one of them at half time though on reflection

Said it for weeks start Dolcek and hope it clicks, better putting sapsford through the middle and hope it clicks with that front 3

Re: Aberdeen Vs Dundee United - Saturday 27th December (5.45PM)

I said on here before the Motherwell game we needed 6 points from the next 3 games but to get 6 from the 4 games in hindsight with the other results going mostly our way seems to be good enough. 2 victories in the next 2 games and we are atleast safe but still concerning that the amount of possession we have during games is so low but we are atleast scoring goals

Re: Aberdeen Vs Dundee United - Saturday 27th December (5.45PM)

I thought Dolcek looked completely disinterested again last night. He was playing right in front of our support and was still lazy as fuck. I was hoping he might read the room and make more of an effort given that when he came on we were on top but nope. A couple of other players had a go at him but he just looked blissfully unaware of what they were annoyed at him about. A very arrogant individual by the looks of things.

Too much commotion

Re: Aberdeen Vs Dundee United - Saturday 27th December (5.45PM)

Looked at both goals closely again.
Aiberdeen goalie (Mitov ?)one is a shocker - basic mistake, out of position doesn't know where the centre of his goal, half a yard too far tae the right, gets down like the price ae fuel. Now, no that I give a rat's arse about Aiberdeen's goal, he reflects the general state of modern goalies -pretty shit.
Wheras Richards stufffup can be forgiven to some extent - yes he does parry (fxxx hate that ! )  basic mistake. He's partly unsighted - I think it's Essselink or Kerestes gets hes erse in the road + one ae the Sheep. + No the mention modern ping pong fitba.
Good luck tae Kuch if he goes to warmer climes of Cyprus.
Richards, no bad under high ball and what naebody seems to give him credit for - he's an excellent communicator which can save a goal in itself.
Obviously rather have Gordon, but don't know that that'll happen - we'll see.
Meantime I'm Ok with Richards.

Same with Watters, lazy fuck.

Re: Aberdeen Vs Dundee United - Saturday 27th December (5.45PM)

I think Watters perfectly demonstrates the gulf between modern player fitness levels and where he's at.
Moller on the other hand demonstrates the gulf between quality and average at this level. He's possibly the only player I've seen that gets smaller when he jumps for a header.

#free the Haddie 2

And every time one of them starts at CF you know we're not going to be playing fluid football. Scottish football forums are full of United fans getting weary watching this negative football. Maybe beating Celtic has papered over the cracks a bit.

These next two games are a major test of Goodwin's ability to get victories instead of draws.
