Kilmarnock vs United - Saturday 29th November (5.45PM)

What XI and formation for what now looks a huge match in how our season turns out?

Re: Kilmarnock vs United - Saturday 29th November (5.45PM)

442 back to basics
Defend with a compact straight line
Build from the middle
Trapanovski to make it a 433 when attacking and drop back into a 4 when we don't have the ball.

Richards

Stephenson
Cleall Harding
Keresztes
Ferry

Sibbald
Camara (assuming available)
Sevelj (can we play him into form)
Trapanovski (there's a goal coming)

Fatah (you don't have to beat everyone Amar)
Sapsford

If Camara is babysitting we are probably losing again.
He's that important to us at this point.

I would probably drop Ferry and Sevelj too but Naamo is injured and I'm not sure we have better replacements.

Will the manager have the cojones to drop the underperformers though? I'm not so sure.

I think we all know we are getting fuck all from this fixture, not gonna even build
my hopes up just to be let down yet again. Shite ground where we are always shite so I'm not going to let them ruin my weekend again by sitting through it.

Re: Kilmarnock vs United - Saturday 29th November (5.45PM)

We're favourites!
Killie 13/8 United 6/4
Right enough Killie have lost 6 on the bounce, terrible run.
But we're not so hot either and Rugby Park is not exactly our favourite haunt.
Could a couple of quid on Killie ensure a United win? Losing bet syndrome.

Quite a few teams are including Trapanovski.  I thought he was absolutely abysmal when he came on against Falkirk.
Never got past a man once and is unbelievably lightweight.
I've seen enough of him he's not good enough.

4-4-2 and let’s hope the returning players can bring some freshness

Wack your wage on killie humping us again, you heard it here first!

Hope not obviously but absolutely nothing to inspire any positivity at the moment I'm afraid.

Jim is on the front page of the Evening Telegraph saying there is no crisis at Utd!

I think it’s a big game for Goodwin. One bad loss isn’t the end of the world, BUT, it’s the first time I’ve noticed, in the post match interview, that he was rattled.

There seem to be a lot of unknowns going on: What is Mathers doing with Kucherenko? Are there underlying issues we are unaware of? Why was Ross Goodwin talking to the press about possible sell ons? Is there some friction between owner and management? Why could Goodwin not change tactics (lack of width) after 20mins against Falkirk? Why (after a positive start to the season) has the team failed to bond and lacks togetherness?

We can all come up with our preferred starting 11 for Saturday, but, ultimately if Goodwin can’t get a performance (and a result), the pressure on him will mount.

As supporters we are kept in the dark on many of the internal going ons. I just wonder if Goodwin is too?

Can a crisis occur in 90 minutes? Of course it can.
Cos there was no crisis after Tynecastle.
However if we're sitting in 10th place at the end of December then we can maybe declare a crisis depending on the nature of the slump.

It's not just one bad loss though. Killie at home,Motherwell away,Livi at home
Add to that the very worrying performances from Calamity Jane in goal and the poor defensive performances all season. Then add the absolute state of our defence last weekend and the word crisis doesn't sound far off the mark. We dont need to be rooted to the bottom of the table before we start ringing the alarm bells.

Re: Kilmarnock vs United - Saturday 29th November (5.45PM)

Killie, M'well' Livi performances shit.
Falkirk - a real concern - has he lost the dressing room ?

Re: Kilmarnock vs United - Saturday 29th November (5.45PM)

If we don't win the night, we'll be in a bad way, and depending on his choice of line-up, it could be the stocks and pillory for Goodwin.

Re: Kilmarnock vs United - Saturday 29th November (5.45PM)

Bit of money for Killie right enough, now favourites.
Killie 6/4 United 17/10.
The draw is 12/5 which it well might be if we pull our socks up.

Btw if Kuri gets the nod, I think there is a chance, I for one will bear with the selection and give full support.

Re: Kilmarnock vs United - Saturday 29th November (5.45PM)

If Kuchurenko starts I won't be back this season. Nothing against the laddie, who is clearly trying his best and upset, but everyone knows he needs a break.

FWIW I think there is zero chance he will start. Absolutely none. Goodwin rates and trusts Richards, and if he doesn't play now then why is he a United player.

Win tonight and we’re 9 clear of 12th and 7 clear of 11th which is massive.
