January Transfer Window

I see United are already linked with making a move in January.

Kazakhstani Internationalist, Galymzhan Kenzhebek. A winger who plays in his homeland's top flight for Yelimay Semey. Only signed for them in July and has already scored 6 goals and made 4 assists in just 11 games. He's 22 years old.

Seemingly there is a lot of other clubs interested in him also, but there must be something in it if the Courier are already speculating about him signing, six weeks before the window opens.

It poses the question though, if we are after another winger, is someone leaving in January?

Maybe, Goodwin has got wind that another club wants Dolcek in January

Possibly, or just preparing for life post Fatah?

Trappa, Fatah and Dolcek could all be gone in the summer so hopefully Jim’s getting the work done early.

Any player at Tannadice could be gone in the summer.
Don't fret about the future just enjoy the present.

Re: January Transfer Window

Not a link, but Queen’s Park have a young striker called Josh Fowler who’s scored 12 goals in 15 games this season. Hopefully one we’re keeping an eye on.

Re: January Transfer Window

Given Will Ferry's contract situation I think the club would welcome bids in January. And most likely he will be away. But with just Naamo to cover that position we may look to bring in a traditional left back if Ferry is definitely leaving.

A bit left field but I think the club will also get unexpected bids for a couple of players we wouldn't want to lose, eg Sapsford and Kersezstes. That's pure speculation on my part.

Obviously there's a question mark around Dolcek. Will he commit or not?

I think there will be business done, maybe both ways, it could be an interesting window for us.

Kersezstes Isn’t actually our player yet, I’d 100% be making him permanent on January 1st, he’s been a superb, pish one of him or Graham isn’t right footed. They’ve make a superb partnership

Yeah, I worded that wrongly. I'm just a bit concerned that some of the players have caught the eye very quickly.

Re: January Transfer Window

Hearing we’re chasing a Brazilian striker that’s playing in Latvia, he’s scored an absolute fuck ton of goals for them. We’re not the only ones in Scotland looking at him though.

And the Kazakhstani winger is meant to be going to Rangers.

Reginaldo Ramires?

20 goals in 40 games for Riga FC.

Been 30 years since we had a Brazillian play for us...the infamous Sergio (good player at the wrong club at the wrong time).

P.s. bit of a pisser if the Kazakh goes to Castle Greyskull. Boy looks a real player, was a link that actually excited me.

Will he be able to stand up to the physical side of the game ?
If the last few games have shown us anything it's that we need a a few 'traditional 'Scottish players to keep us away from the  relegation places

I think we were reaching a bit with the Kazakhstani boy tbh. Rangers, Olympiakos & Estoril all quoted with an interest in him. He’s not joining us over any of them if they come in for him.

The record have kiboshed Rangers being interested in him.

Re: January Transfer Window

Ramires looks decent. Scored a few great headers here, so a bit of physicality about him.

He's also played 6 times in the UEFA Conference League this season.

He scored in both legs of Riga's win over Dila Gori from Georgia.

Scored 2 in their 3-0 home win over Bietar Jerusalem of Israel (Jan Telesnikov's old club).

And led the line in their 1-0 home win over Sparta Prague.

So, a wee bit of a pedigree despite the supposed lowly nature of the Latvian Premier league.

Re: January Transfer Window

I don't like these rumours getting out. And I think we're getting used.
The club need to work harder to make sure none of these comes from the club.
Obviously there's not much we can do if agents are leaking interest but when it comes down to a wages battle once interest spreads we're unlikely to see any of these players at Tannadice.
