As if having to go there isn't bad enough....

Overnight Stevie G is as short as 1/2 to be at Hun Towers on the 18th.

50K sell out, they’ll have the place bouncing, I only see one thing happening and it’s a pumping for us sadly.

Not necessarily, the pressure is all on them. Let's not forget, the last time we beat them he was in charge.

He might be...

If the question is

Who desperately tries to sound far more intelligent than he is, whilst holding a horrific management CV, who's only item of note is winning a 2 horse race, when the other horse was oot it's tits.

Worry about ourselves first up.
We did no bad in our run against 50 odd thousand Leiderhauasen Burgermeisters.
50k Zombies surely bring out better in us than Killie, Livi.

Re: As if having to go there isn't bad enough....

Gerrard turns the return to Ibrox down.

Pleased with that tbh. In terms of next Saturday, anyway.

Funny as fuck tbh, hope they end up with another over rated English championship fud. Would be lovely to add to their suffering but more hope than expectation on my part I fear.

Be really funny if they went for and got McInnes.

Re: As if having to go there isn't bad enough....

I never thought that Gerrard was nailed on for that despite the press wishing it to be so.
A return to Glasgow is not for everyone after you've experienced that toxicity first hand.
But the "not the right time" story doesn't ring true, sounds more like he wasn't keen on what he saw and heard at the interview.

Their selection pool continues to narrow to those who either don't really get what they would be walking into or do realise but happy to take a punt for the payoff.

Pictures of Russell Martin needing a police escort after a drawn game won't have gone without notice.

The longer this drags into next week the better, the less time a new coach has with their players counts in our favour.

Hopefully they get their second best man all lined up for a press conference on Friday, only for him to turn round and tell them to fuck off at the 11th hour and leave them waking up in turmoil on Saturday 🤣

Re: As if having to go there isn't bad enough....

His wife didn't stay up here first time round, she didn't go out to Saudi either. He's got that enormous tax bill as well if he comes back before next July too.

Too much commotion

My guess is that Gerrard did not like the idea of working under a Sporting Director. When The Friedkin Group took over Everton earlier this year, Thelwell was DOF. His role seemed to be to make a profit trading players. They did not renew his contract.

I suspect Gerrard would not work under that model. Not only would he want his own team in, but, he would not want to be “told” which players to sign.

Re: As if having to go there isn't bad enough....

Steve Clarke 25/1 would solve another problem.
No sign of Oor Jim but Stephen Robinson is there at 10/1.
I'd have Unmanageable on the list.

would he not be too "Celtic minded" for the bigots?

Re: As if having to go there isn't bad enough....

Kevin Muscat as short as 1/3 now. Aussie ex-Hun. Wolves, Crystal Palace, Millwall too, nearly all Championship.
I don't remember him playing for the Huns but reading his Wicki he's an absolute animal, has been branded the dirtiest player ever to play football.
There was even a law suit, which he lost, over him crippling an opponent.
Sounds like a good fit.

Re: As if having to go there isn't bad enough....

Movement overnight.
Gerrard back in as favourite at 5/4. Muscat out to 6/4. 7/1 bar (Ole Gunnar).
Chances are no decision before the weekend which would be a big boost for us.
