Not the Challenge cup but Scotland U/21s who were beaten 2-0 in Czech tonite.
Ruairidh Adams was subbie goalie and actually got on at 43 mins.
On 70 mins Czech were awarded a penalty and Adams saved the first one and the retaken one - he was penalised twice for moving off his line. He was booked into the bargain. They scored from the 3rd kick.
Sam Harding came on at half time & Miller Thomson was an unused subbie.

B Teams are just a way to show lower league teams that bigger clubs might bring along 2-300 fans that normally wouldn't bother.
It's about softening the path for Colt teams to enter the league I reckon.

Was a very young United side today.
Could have played Stirton, Thomson, Constable, Cleall-Harding.
Even Jamie Forrest and Nairn Reynolds were away with Scotland U17's.
The Cup competition is a joke, but these games are good development for these young players, up against a team of men.

9 out of the 10 'B' teams were beaten, most of them 'humped' as per Beardy.
Only non-defeat was St Mirren 'B' getting a draw at Annan.
Remember though the 'A' teams do get Home advantage which does seem a bit strange.
Playing against men should be good for the 'B' teams but one wonders.

Did we not already get beat in the last round? How come we were playing again? Also agree with Tek, it's boys against men so it's a good learning curve rather than a competition to give a fuck about.
