Fotheringham can't be accused of not trying hard in a UTD shirt, however as a player he is very limited.
No pace, poor touch, weak in the air
And went missing for large parts of the game, all in all very easy to play against.
I would give him a few weeks at SJ before he also becomes a benchwarmer for them.
Have you forgotten his goals that helped get us back up then?
No I haven't forgotten the goals but I believe I've given an accurate assessment of what I've watched over the last couple of seasons.
Well you reckon he'll be a bench warmer for them in the Championship yet he's already proved himself at that level,so not all that accurate I'd say. Just a bit harsh on a player who helped to get us to where we are now,and is still only 22.

Best of luck to Kai. He scored a good few goals for us in that Championship winning side and is a United fan himself, so will be hard for him to leave his boyhood club i'm sure, but i think it probably is the right move for him and us.
Always be welcomed back fondly and i really hope he can kick on and have a good career.
Kai’s not a United fan, he’s a Falkirk supporter.

Come back to me around the turn of the year and I will hold my hands up if I'm wrong. However SJ already have Sidebeh, Gullane &Ikeapzu and he isn't playing before them.

Also, this idea that Kai is really a Billy Dodds or a David Goodwillie just undiscovered and unappreciated isn't based on fact. It's a construct.
I like Kai and I wish him all the best in his future career.

I wish the young lad all the best but still maintain that he wasn't good enough to hold down a first team slot with us.
He's supposed to be a winger but he hasn't any real pace, crosses inevitably hit the first man and he isn't a great dribbler. If he's to make his mark in the game he has to find another position.

I stand corrected in that case. I actually thought he was a Dundonian. Just checked his Wiki and seen he's from Larbert.
Wish the lad well, nonetheless.

Played a big part in our championship team, seems a decent lad, couldn't make the step up.
Wish him well personally, hope he has a great season, but ultimately wins fuck all.

Kai was an important player when we won the first division. Probably our most clinical finisher that season. Agree he never got a proper chance after we got promoted. But also not sure he has enough for the top league. Good luck at St J. We will probably see how good he is next season.

Looks like the window for us has closed going by Goodwin comments after the game.(apart from a few young lads going out on loan)
I think if we could get most players fit, we look pretty decent.

Hopefully a few bodies back by our next game. Would be good to have game changers on the bench.

We’d be daft to kick the can down the road with this one. If he keeps this form up, he’s gonna have much bigger teams in for him and we’ll struggle to get him to agree to stay long term. Pay the money now and we have control of what happens in the future.

Apart from money I couldn't understand why we didn't do this with Dolcek rather than Naamo last time?

Maybe a more straightforward negotiation, quicker paperwork trying to get Luca in.

My guess was, based on no evidence, given the start that Dolceks had and that he wasnt known on any personal level by the staff, we might come to an agreement with his club but he might tell us to ram the contract as he knows that carrying on as he is will likely get a bigger move and a bigger contract.
This leaves us in a position where you have a boy on loan for the rest of the season who's already telt us to ram it,which probably isn't good for the dressing room (and let's be honest, our fans would be right on him if he did take a downturn in form). I reckon now he's been here for a few weeks, they've probably sounded out that he'd be keen to sign permanently if we can get that fee agreed with his club.
Just a complete guess mind but it made sense in my head

Would be great if it happens and I know what Jim has said, but could it also mean we are trying to bring in one last loan signing before window shuts?

Maybe, but it's probably just the club recognising his rising stock I'd imagine. Not fussed if we bring in anyone else tbh,I think we are well covered once we get a fully fit squad to choose from, if we ever do of course. But I'd love to see Dolcek snapped up on a 3 year deal because I reckon we've unearthed a gem there.

Also my worry you're not alone. Let's hope the alternative transpires.

It’s a five figure fee which in this day and age is nothing. Hopefully he just accepts our contract.

Still think we could do with a backup LB/LWB for Ferry.
