Not a single striker on the bench today. Ridiculous.

Is Watters injured again too?

Nammo was 50/50 fucking weeks ago, wtaf is going on?

Alan Temple saying Watters has an illness but should be fine for Thursday.

Is that 6 out of the last 7 conceded all from crosses? FFS.

2 horrendous goals from corners

We need signings in asap, that’s killed us today having nothing on the bench

Honestly do not even get me started on that referee he’s a absolute disgrace- honestly fuming

Re: United vs Hearts - Sunday 10/8/25 (3PM)

I'm  not convinced by the boy Iovu I have to say. At the same time, cant help but feel the clubs lack of transfer business the last fortnight contributed in no small part to that loss.

Last 15 Sevelj and Sibbald looked gubbed, and Camara was the same when he went off. Even if Pappoe was fit, all 4 would have played on Thursday. Nothing on the bench to replace them.

Fotheringham just isn't good enough for the level, and I've no doubt if we had anyone else on that bench he wouldn't have come on. If the rumours of Morton being in for him are true, shake their hands and he goes with our best wishes but he's no cutting it at a club looking at the top 6.

Reinforcement needed anyway on top of an injury crisis and it's cost us today. Tired legs all over the park.

Re: United vs Hearts - Sunday 10/8/25 (3PM)

If we'd held on for a point I'd have been happy enough. Some very good performances but some not so good ones too. I'm surprised how many times we've conceded from set pieces as we have so much height in there,it's something we have to work hard on because we are looking a lot better at the other end of the park. Delighted for Dolcek because he was being quickly wrote off by some folk. I'm not gonna be too hard on them though because we are down to the bare bones and we have 2 more huge games this week. We need bodies in and fucking quick, this week hopefully.

Re: United vs Hearts - Sunday 10/8/25 (3PM)

Poor defending of set pieces cost us, but the bigger picture is we had absolutely nothing to impact or change the game. Bodies are needed in sharpish.

Sooner rather than later.

Dinna ken if any chunt else seen it coming, but it was coming.

Oor big failure the day was standing aff their defenders when they had the ba. They had time to plan every move. They coulda drew up plans to build a hoose in the time we gave them.

But meh biggest grumble was that Ref Dickinson. He should get his name cheenged to Dickhaed, Stopped the gehm fir loadsa feeble reasons, but didna stop it when he shoulda.

Head knock between Svelj and ane oe the Herts players, He calls on the physios. Then he lets the Jambo play on, but puts Svelj aff. Surely some chunt needs to looks at this. This chunt gave us the same treatment at least 1 gehm last Season.

MOTM fir me Dolcek.

Re: United vs Hearts - Sunday 10/8/25 (3PM)

Thats a sickner after what i thought was a decent performance considering the circumstances.

Thought thompson done well enough and will be good cover for strain although id love to see him push on and claim his place in the starting 11 whether thats at rwb or further up the pitch. Am i right in saying that was his first start for us since he was hooked before half time against hearts last season? That would surley be on his mind so hats off to him. As for kai, thought he looked livley and caused the keeper to make a couple of mistakes by putting him under pressure but he gave the ball away to easily a few times, needs to be more switched on in possession, we need better from him if wants to play for united. That being said if kai wasnt here who do we bring on today?

The ref wow, if that isnt a one sided refereeing performance then what is, the highlight being the 50/50 head collision between sevelj and their boy, both recieve treatment but only sevelj gets booked and has to leave the pitch following treatment leaving us a man down while hearts were in possession

Re: United vs Hearts - Sunday 10/8/25 (3PM)

If JG is looking to have a squad of 22 this season I would say he 13 available today .
The 10 starters minus Thomson + Richards , Fatah & SCH.
Missing Graham, Pappoe, Trapanovski, Strain, Ferry, Nammo, Watters. So maybe 2 or 3 to still come in.

A gutting way to lose a game but plenty.of positives for the season ahead.
I saw more technical ability from Dolcek in 45mins than I saw  from Middleton in 3 years.
However that lack of depth in comparison to Hearts was the deciding factor  today.

After reading billys post above mine i think im maybe getting seveljs booking mixed up with another incident, sorry ive had a few.

But the point remains about only putting sevelj off, unbelievable.

Lets hope we can make up for it on thursday. Next league game is the derby on the 31st of august, 1 day before the window shuts so we should have a bigger squad to choose from and hopefully a few less injured players.

Next home league game is the 27th of september against killie, hopefully the time between then is filled with a couple of european games.

Re: United vs Hearts - Sunday 10/8/25 (3PM)

We ended the game with a front 3 of Fatah…Stirton…Fotheringham (one is a nervous young loanee, one is a young striker who imo needs loaned to the championship to continue his development and one just isn’t good enough). Criminal defending for all 3 of their goals today especially the 2 headers from Findlay who btw scored on Monday night and we just ignored that. 27% possession at home to anyone outside of the old firm is absolutely pathetic.

We fought really hard for the first 65-70 mins but the lack of squad depth killed any chance of us winning that game. If i was Jim i would be telling the board get me money for signings, we finished 4th and have already earned 830K from Europe from beating strassen plus two gates of around 20K people plus 2.8K hearts fans today so get backing the manager. We will hopefully have Nammo, Watters and Ferry back for Thursday night which would be massive but with Strain, Graham and Trappa (maybe Pappoe too) out long term i still think we need a striker, winger and attacking/central mid signed up.

It was good to see Dolcek coming onto a game, he was written off by a few including me but i think there’s a good player in there. I thought Miller filled in at right back quite well today. I’ll give a special mention to Craig Sibbald, i wanted rid in the summer but he’s looked like he’s getting back to his old self.

Thought that was more like blatant cheating from the ref than just incompetence. Plenty positives today and have to remember that our depleted team have hardly played together.

What a complete kunt that guy is. Was he the ref for the Hibs Dalbygate game?
Also saw also the 3rd official manhandling Dolcek, shouldn't be doing that.

Nah. Just really unhappy with a couple of things today. No point in ranting so soon after the game especially when my views might be a bit controversial.

Re: United vs Hearts - Sunday 10/8/25 (3PM)

iovu didn’t cover himself in glory today losing Findlay twice for the goals and giving away the penalty. Camara didn’t have a great game either.  Fotheringham was honking.

Time to move on from that today and all eyes on Thursday.

It's a rule I'm afraid, freekick given and opposition player booked then the player doesn't have to leave the field after treatment.

I'm not sure why it was a free kick and a booking in the first place, looked like a 50/50 all day long to me. Cheating cunt of a referee, should never be allowed near our games in the first place.

He made our player leave the park for it in the second half, after Braga? was booked.

Baffled at why the Hungarian got made to go off. Goodwin actually had to go for wander down the line to calm down at one point

He was utterly dreadful.

I agree Ads. The ref had one of 3 decisions to make -  50/50 so play on, foul on Utd or foul by Utd. He chose option 3. I had a good view of it and it was most certainly not. You could see Sevelj's disbelief.

Yeah I was amazed at the Hearts kicking the ball away booking because  it was very mild.
But of course led to our one. Keresztes looked stunned.
I'll bet there was some choice words about the ref in the home dressing room at full time.

Btw I didn't notice they made two changes at half time & the two they brought on will be in future starting XIs, they are notable signings. Talk of them having too many players but that's what money does I guess.
