I'm wary of Dolcek playing LWB, but i think that will be the team.
I don't think they'll risk Naamo on plastic, considering he's just back.

Well here we are. The league campaign starts today.
I wish I was more positive about getting a result there but you never know.
No idea on our lineup, probably as listed in the posts above.
We need to keep the ball better and use it better. After watching Motherwell in that second half yesterday it feels like by comparison to them we're not ready.
On the other hand we could go top for an hour 😁
Come on United....

Falkirk now odds on & you can get 3/1 for us.
With a poster on Fb predicting total meltdown if we're 2nd best today.
So here it goes again, another roller coaster, don't you just love it?
The prospects of a good season could be turned upside down in the space of 5 days.
Come on United, surprise us!

Don’t think anyone would be surprised if we don’t get a result today but there is no reason we can’t sneak a victory as we’ve proved over the last couple of games we’re hard to score against

Actually thought we were decent there all things in to consideration. No fit full backs, a game midweek, away on plastic to newly promoted team with a point to prove.
Bit of luck and we could've won that and Falkirk probably thinking the same.
Thought Camara was outstanding btw.

Wasn’t that confident for the game so i don’t mind a point. Like said above, both teams could’ve won that. If we had Ferry, Graham, Trappa and Strain in that team we would’ve won today. We need signings in now, it’s a very thin squad.
Pan Cam in the midfield was excellent today, he keeps that up and he will be a very good signing.

Take that, 2nd goal is a seekner
Camera was absolutely brilliant, thought throughout most of the team we were decent, dolcek wasn’t great same with watters- few weeks behind in terms of being with the team. Watters took his goal brilliantly.
Need a couple of signings and the injured boys back.

Goal aside Dolcek was a passenger, again.
Surface is terrible, players struggled to keep their feet.
Camara was very good.

If we'd played on grass we'd have won that today. I'll take the point given the injury list and Euro games plus team still selling. Agree though Camara was excellent. Dolcek and Watters will take confidence from their goals and I see more to come from them. Sapsford worked his socks off but needs to take his chances when they come. Still think he'll come good though. Sibbald,Pappoe did OK but thought the defence was a bit ropey at times and the keeper nearly got caught out dawdling on the ball early on. We'll get better though and more additions to come ( hopefully soon). It was good to see how we'd fare in a battle against Premiership opposition though, although I think we'll have much harder games to come.

I thought he had a few good moments but struggled on that surface, will get a boost from his goal though hopefully.

When you take everything into account, ie players missing, players playing out of position, just back from Luxe, shit pitch, settled Falkirk side bla bla I'm happy with a point as I expected we'd lose.
Some really positive things today. Most importantly we looked like a football team for most of it.
Camara, really good but needs to learn not to dwell on the ball in dangerous positions.
Watters, took his goal really well. (Substitution not due to injury)
Pappoe, much better.
Sibbald looking like the midfield lynchpin of old.
Promising.
All in all, better.

Annoyingly whilst the Sapsford incident for me isn't a pen, there's a definite pull on his arm from the defender.
Watch that exact same incident be a penalty depending on which colour of jersey the 'fouled' player is wearing in the coming weeks.

Booked for simulation too, fucking joke.

Enjoyable game. We looked a lot better with a central three, and Camara was much improved on his performances against UNA Strassen. Still a bit ragged, but I'm optimistic after that.

A this point in the season, everyone has opinions. I’m excited. To have, pretty much, a brand new team on the park is risky, but already, there are players who show determination and guts. Two of our new signings got their first goals yesterday, which is priceless in terms of building confidence.
The Rapid game is going to be a big test for our defence, then we have the Jambos. Let’s see if the improvement continues.

Hopefully when Falkirk are at Tanny we only open 1 gate and give them 700 tickets.

In the debate about artificial pitches, I never want to hear again from anybody saying that Falkirk's pitch is one of the good ones. The amount of times yesterday that players from both teams stood on the ball due to it sticking to the pitch was unreal. Get these pitches to fuck.
Aside from that I thought that was a massive improvement from us but still lots of work to do.

Was thinking that myself.
But would be shooting ourselves in the foot.
And money's tight.

Just a small thing I noticed from our second goal yesterday.
Both Camara and Dolcek changed up their pace in scoring that goal, ie a wee hesitation in the run then a burst of pace to go past the defender.
Something we didn't see much of last season.
