If we bring in the English striker in time for tomorrow's game then I'd say our business has been absolutely fantastic so far and I'm optimistic for the season ahead. Already a few new faces look like they will quickly become fans favourites, whilst some may need a little more time to settle. Hopefully another CM and another striker before the window closes, with a few youngsters going out on loan.

I notice Sam McClelland’s still a free agent. If Graham’s gonna be out long term would it be worth bringing him back even in a deal till January to prove his fitness?
He's also right sided so not exactly cover for Graham,we signed a left sided CB this week already.

Signing number ten Ivan Dolcek was asked in the interview 'where are you most comfortable playing, right left or centre?'
'Right wing cutting inside cos I'm left footed' he answered.
Shades of Ralphie?
I think half of our new signings will be keeping the other half on the bench. It will be interesting to see who's who.

We ain't fucking about this Summer.

Building the squad nicely now.
Still have the obvious need for two Strikers.
Though hopefully Max Watters is announced tonight and makes his debut tomorrow.

Signs that your not going to renew your membership to the Lou Ferringo supporters club and are contemplating taking your seat amongst the happy clappers.

Well if we dont win the league with this squad we'll at least have a good chance of winning the Eurovision song contest 😉
Joking aside this is probably now the most exciting looking squad I've seen us with in years. Looks very much like Stephenson won't be back given we are looking to sign this young midfielder. I'm hopeful though that we still have our main striker to come in even after Watters comes in. Wouldn't make a lot of sense to have so much competition for places if we were gonna be light on strikers.

Ah well.
I did think tbh 'why are we after yet another midfielder', particularly as we are holding a berth open for Luca Stephenson.

If we win a trophy next season i will happily sign-up for 'The Happy Clappers' DUSC and will be the Bill Bixby on the far left.
At the moment i'm the right-sided Bill Bixby. Lose to Una Strassen over two legs and i'm the left sided Lou Ferrigno.
Get skelped in another Derby i'm the right sided Ferrigno. That's the sliding scale.

So do we reckon that's our business done? Personally I'd still like another striker in and maybe Stephenson if it's at all possible. I think anyone else in will need to see someone going the opposite way,Odada and VDS most likely. Some of the younger lads out on loan too,but able to be recalled if necessary under the new loan partnership agreement.

Let's hope he can get a few early goals to boost his confidence and prove the negative Barnsley fans comments wrong.
Apparently Goodwin would like to add another attacker to the squad as well according to the Courier.

Had a look on the Barnsley forum and they seem genuinely happy to be rid of him!! Hopefully does a “Dalby” and proves them wrong.

The comments about him from more positive Barnsley supporters seem similar to anyone who isn't watching VDS with tangerine tinted specs. Puts in effort, not much ability. Not sure we needed another one of those!
Dalby at least had a lot of well wishes from what he had accomplished when Wrexham were non league.

He’ll get my full support until he proves himself either way.

Hoping Mad Max and Ivan the terrible can terrorise defences this season. We certainly look like we are gonna be better to watch this season and less likely to get bullied. We have added some much needed pace, height and physicality along with some width, flair and creativity. I'd love a proven goal scorer too though, greedy bastard that I am. Bring it on!

Patrick Bamford completely out of the picture at Leeds, maybe we could throw him a bone

I see Walton’s being allowed to leave Luton Town after they signed Josh Keeley from Spurs. Shame they couldn’t have made the decision earlier as it would’ve allowed us some continuity and takes away the anxiety of wondering what Kucherenko will be like. Not to say Kucherenko might not be better though.

Ah good old Eastfootball.
A once proud football forum, a great place where many great posters once hung out, then most of them left.
It's the place where convicted offenders prefer to post though.
