Roory (sp) Paton didn't exactly set the heather on fire in January but say he'd come along now would that be an acceptable incoming? It was pretty well received at the time.
This is realistically the the sort of calibre we can afford.
Would he be worth a re-punt?

Nope he was hopeless. We’ll attract better from the Eastern European markets. There was talk of the Croatian guy Ivan Durdov, he’s 6ft4 with a decent goalscoring record, sounds just like the type of physicality Goodwin would like.

Nope. He is proven pish. Would much rather take a punt on young Scottish guy who has shown potential in lower leagues (or someone like Stirton) who might improve than a guy who will want decent money and has proven he isn’t up to standard.

There was talk but what happened, he's not coming is he?
The hardest foreigner to get over here is your centre forwards, I think it's 3 times harder to get a good striker than a good defender. Proof is in the pudding, we've signed 9 Euros without any of them being a goalscorer.
Fans are screaming for more than Zac & Jim & Co must be knackered trying to find him.

Some good additions this week but still no striker,a week tomorrow we have a huge game for the club. We need someone in before the last friendly, it's nowhere near soon enough but it's where we are now. Come on Jim.

Oakley Cannonier was rumoured previously, can’t remember if it was last summer or in January.

Hoping it's Trent Kone-Doherty. He's rapid, skillful and has an end product.

He's not a striker

We've not waited this long, built from the back, through midfield, to try and get a style of exciting play to bring in a couple of guys who've not seen their first boob.
It has to be a decent proper centre forward with some real first team football experience.

It was this Summer, few weeks back now, way back at the start of this long thread.
I sincerely hope it's not him. He's barely kicked a ball the past two years, never mind scored a goal.
My money is on it being Jayden Danns.
Edit - Just looked back and Cannonier was strangely linked last Summer and this Summer.

I had a nosey and that’s who I also think it could be if the rumour is true, young laddie needs starts and goals

No chance it will be Danns. He has played in the Champions League for Liverpool and was on loan at Sunderland in the Championship last season. If he leaves Liverpool it will be for a team far bigger than us.

I did think that however he’s had a bad time with injuries last year, you never know!

Ross Graham injury is meant to be a bad one months rather than weeks.
Think this will have a domino effect, I had a feeling sibbald was on his way out but can’t see him leaving incase sevelj needs to drop back in to the three as that would then leave is short in midfield

I put into the thread earlier (not checked how far back, about Oakley Cannonier) as I was told we were interested ( and more Liverpool youngsters aswell) - I feel he isn't suitable now, for what we need.
Heard last week that we did stake an interest in a Liverpool striker, it was Lewis Koumas

Hopefully Keresztes will be that good we don't miss him overly. Still, it is a blow and I feel for the big man. He can't seem to put a consistent run together. Everytime he looks like he's established another big injury comes along.

He's more a winger.

You never know.
After Stephenson's successful season they may well trust us to get him on to the next level of his development.
The boy needs regular games at a good level.

Max Watters from Barnsley signing is a new rumour.

Looks good on paper. Better stats than Dalby had before joining us.

Definitely seems to fit the criteria for what we need. Tall enough to cause a bit of bother with big centre backs, but quick enough to press well and get in behind. A bit of Safranko about him, going by clips.
