ADS - 50% of this thread is you moaning we've no signed enough players, mate
Whilst I agree we need to get things moving (we have signed two players which is more than other clubs in the league) the club are clearly working on things so my advice would be to take so called in-the-knows saying "there will be someone signing today" with the biggest pinch of salt you can. If it comes from a decent source then I believe it. Let's be honest, The Courier and The Record are the only two places you can trust to report an actual credible rumour. Alan Temple and Scott Burns. That's it. So I've kept eye on them, and unless they report a rumour, I just semi-ignore the whole 'imminent signing' posts that are littered across all of the forums. Not saying you need to do the same buddy, but I can tell you are stressed out! So just offering some friendly advice
I'm not stressed out,but I am concerned that things are moving far too slowly. We have lost the entire spine of last seasons successful team and until I see what we plan to replace them with I'll remain so. Maybe I have been caught up with the rumours but they have mostly come from people who are usually quite trustworthy which is why I'm baffled as to the lack of movement. Preseason has started, our first friendly is a week away and we have more gaps in our squad than a tramps teeth.

Camara and keeper deals done, according to Scott Burns

Next week needs to see major transfer activity.
I'm talking 4, 5 or 6 in the door.

What do you mean again? Yannis is actually really good at interviewing players, miles better than Joe Rice or the boy Mark that used to do them. It’s just there’s an obvious language barrier and the boy’s clearly not understanding some of the questions, thats all.

It's just the same generic questions though, I just think sometimes it's too awkward as well for the incoming player. It's hard enough for them not being fluent in English, but the broad Scottish accent doesn't help much either. I find the whole thing a bit difficult to watch personally.

100% agree. They shouldn't have put that up on the website.
Don't know Yannis and I don't fucking care how good he is (actually he's not) if the player is struggling you need an interpreter or dont do it.
Embarrassing.

Agreed. He just asks the same questions to everyone. He needs to read the room a bit more.

Jesus, some boys really need their hole.
Moaning that there are no signings.
Signings made.
Moaning that the interviews are not SSN, ESPN or Frost / Nixon standard.
Give your heads a wobble lads

I said the interview was cringeworthy because it was,I didn't intend it to be a fucking debate. Give your own head a wobble

Spot on, the content Yannis Marr provides is top notch. Young fan that works his bollocks off.

Haha, i like wee Yannis, but you make it sound like he's out grafting on a building site in the summer heat.
He's doing a good job, but no one involved in the media side of any football club is 'working their bollocks off'. Let's be honest.
Not if you've ever worked in what i would call a really physically demanding job, where you graft all day.
He's a good, bright young kid, but he should learn from that interview tbh, he just doubled down with the same generic business like questions even though the lad was clearly really struggling. Help him out a bit, by just being a bit human and informal.
That will come via age and experience, i'm sure.

For some reason I like this signing. For once it feels like someone we have specifically targeted over a long period for a specific role/style of play.

Me too. I can only listen for a minute or so then switch it off.

look like we may have to sign another striker? according to the bbc list of players in and out at scottish clubs our new guy zac is a defender??????
In: Iurie Iovu, defender (Istra 1961); Zac Sapsford, defender (Western Sydney Wanderers); Panutche Camara, midfielder (Crawley Town).

Alan Temple mentioned in his podcast that the 5 ins next week will be a striker.

All players signed are over 6ft. Long throws will continue 🤣

That's just a mistake. He's a forward who plays through the middle and wide. He's not a defender.
