New strip

Still have Errea as kit designer for another two seasons.

Looking forward to seeing what the men from Parma deliver for next season. Think their kits have been very good so far, particularly the home kits.

Except for that horrendous purple monstrosity

New home is tangerine and black stripes, away is cream colour and there’s to be a 3rd strip which is many colours!!

Would like to see us in stripes, a wee change

Re: New strip

We play in Tangerine with black trim.

We have been known to play in a paint splatter Jackson Pollak version of that

But we do not play in fucking stripes 😆

Correct. You can just see the strip design guys saying to each other wonder if United would be the first mugs to go for the full rainbow kit 😀

Although we did demolish Aberdeen 3-0 in purple if I recall.

Id happily have us play in fucking polka dots in exchange for winning a trophy though 🤭

Think we had a couple of good results in that purple strip. Recall an early season win at Fir Park too.

New signing to unveil the new sexy pinstriped number? 👀

Re: New strip

I see Hearts have Hummel back as their kit manufacturer. How long have we got left with Errea? Cause some of our Hummel tops in the late 00’s were belters. Love the tangerine with the black chevrons on the shoulders.

Re: New strip

94/95 and 95/96 jersey was alright, and that had stripes.

A cream away top is an unuusal one, I'll wait to see it.

Re: New strip

Tangerine and black stripes could look smart, and a cream away top. I'm a bit old to get worked up about kits though, strongest opinion I've had was that absolute abomination from 2017-18 with the brown sleeves. Tangerine and brown suited Paul Quinn at the back that season right enough.

You know, that's not bad at all. Echoes of Motherwell but much better than I expected. If we could get the player on loan as well ...👍

Re: New strip

With us releasing the 92/93 retro kit, i wouldn’t have minded us doing it as an away top instead with errea.

Re: New strip

Was hearing that club representative will be travelling to Italy this week regarding next seasons kit, still Errea btw.

As usual United are always like the coos tail when it comes to kits, possibly a new shirt sponsorship is holding everything up?

Re: New strip

Are united constantly missing a trick with not often having the strios available for the start of the school holidays? Loads of teams have announced their trips- in Aberdeen, they've only done the away 9ne but a ton of kids (and some adults) strutting about in it already.

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

It's kinda mad when you think about it that United got relegated in a strip and decided to keep it for the next season.

Would never happen now of course, when we have three new strips every season, sometimes even four (anniversary strips etc).

On the cream away. I remember we had a sort of cream away that was described as Ecru. Which was a banging top (late 90's/early 00's). I remember buying it and was going to take it in my suitcase the night before a lads holiday to Canada.

Looked very wrinkled when it came out the jiffy bag. What did i do? Yeah you guessed it. Brand new top in the bin, not the suit case. Gutted.🤦🏻😂

Was having a wee look back. We don't often, certainly not on the home kit, but we have and fairly recently too (a couple of the recent strips passed me by somewhat).

I seem to recall the 83/84 adidas strip had a horizontal stripe on it

Good shout Mac B.

And a lot of our other Adidas tops thereafter for a few years had diagonal stripes down the shirt of different gradients of tangerine, with the clubs Lion logo going up and down the stripes. Absolutely everything the club produced in the 80's was of a Gold standard.

That was my first Utd strip as a bairn. Absolutely loved it.

Too much commotion

Re: New strip

I loved the 94/95 shirt at the time but it now gives me PTSD when I think about that season so I personally don't ever want to see United with pin-stripes on a home shirt again, daft I know.

Re: New strip

Had to look up that white macron one on the arab archive to believe it was real, no recollection of that at all.

Not bad tbh if they had the macron logo instead of the lettering and a black and white badge it could have been a really nice strip imo
