Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

Zac Sapsford signed. Aussie striker from Western Sydney Wanderers. 6ft 1 and looks pretty quick.

Hurray! A new signing

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

Hopefully an answer to the pace we've been crying out for upfront for about 8 seasons! Another few signings before the end of the week would settle a few nerves amongst the support.

Club again managing to keep some names out of the press/social media domain as it has been since Goodwin was appointed / Asghar left. Never heard this boy linked with us anywhere.

Goodwin must really like him if we are spending a good fee on him.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

That's a wedge of cash for a boy who was on loan to a team in the Spanish 4th division last season..

Can only assume that he loves the physical side of the game and that we think he'll do well in Scotland, and thus would give a clear pathway to sell him to some English Championship team who love a hammer thrower for ££££.

Just over an hour until the first window closes,so if anything else is happening today it needs to get a move on.

Sounds promising, he's a big fucker for sure so should be suited to our game. No clue how to pronounce his name though.

Welcome aboard lurie

Played full first half of last season in Croatian top flight signed for alaves in the January presumably to have a look at him

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

Well that looks like it for this week, I'm wondering what happened to the rest of the rumoured signings? By all accounts Stephenson and the other lad from Liverpool were imminent last week, as was the Finnish winger.

Stephenson’s still on holiday in Italy going by his Instagram so wouldn’t expect anything imminent on that front. The Finnish boy is a done deal from what I’ve heard.

Is that permanent or loan?

That's £170k.

Very surprised we are paying fees on players, given how many signings we need to make.

I won't complain if he's a revelation, of course.

Just hope it doesn't deter in anyway the number of players we need in, twelve to fifteen this window, and that's if no-one else leaves. We could even need up to 18 players.

Our squad is tiny currently.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 25/26

Not been online much the past two days, been swamped at work.

Just catching up on everything.

The lad Iovu looks like a wild punt imo. Really surprised we are paying a fee for anyone, but particularly a lad who hasn't played at any great level. The two Goodwin's really showing their belief in this signing. I sincerely hope it's a good decision, as always with United.

The Aussie lad, just watched a few clips of him on Youtube and quite like what i see.

Runs with the ball at his feet, good link-up, at times unselfish, a good age, good experience for his age (22), good goal return (9 in 26 matches this season) and i seen him score goals of different varieties (left foot, right foot, headers, tap in's). Also, seems to be a big game player going by how many of his goals were in Sydney Derbies.

I will say, he technically looks a bit raw, and not a natural finisher, but there is definitely something there, and he is only only 22 still.

Could be a very astute signing.🤞🏻

It looked like that point was very deliberately mentioned in the Courier article.
