Played 30 odd games in the eredivisie last season, can’t be that bad a player.

In an ideal world yes, but finishing high up the league again is number 1 priority so if we have to wait a little longer to get a cracking target into the club so be it.
So many loan players leaves us looking very light on quality this summer. But would I have taken the prize money on offer in exchange for a couple of pumpings in the Europa League league stage, yes definitely. The difference there is you get a little more time to blend new players in.
If I have a worry right now it's the financial gulf opening up between Hearts/Hibs/Aberdeen to us.

Ultimately we won't be winning the Europa conference league trophy so it's not going to be our priority for the season. But I'd rather be playing in that than against Buckie fucking thistle in the league cup group stages. If anything it might prime us more for the start of the league campaign. If we do really well and reach the group stages then it means a bigger budget and squad for Jim hopefully which cannot be a bad thing. And if not at least we are straight into the next round of the league cup and probably seeded in that too.

Aberdeen and Motherwell reportedly also interested.
Aberdeen have reportedly agreed a deal to sign him.

Since County are down, wouldn't mind nabbing Hale off them. Scored a decent number for County considering they weren't great. Scored a good few goals in Ireland before coming here also.

Not that arsed about a back up goalie, as we already have one.
It's been a week, FFS United, do something.

Me too.
We're reliant on Mr O's ££, Jim's astute bringing in of players which should be aided by European fooftball and once again getting off to a flyer at the start of the season.
Only other thing in our favour is for some reason playing dross reduces your own performances to their level - which all teams barring Celtic have suffered from. Minimize that you rack up points. Under Jim we have set out to defend well, win ugly and not throw away needless points - served us well last year, let's hope we can better it.
Underlying point remains the same.

Most contracts dont finish until 31st May. We didn't sign Ferry until early June, who was our first signing I'm sure

My patience extends until 1st June then.
We know how huge this window is for us. Let’s kick it off with a bang.

Was told the same thing. Along with a Croatian striker and the Finnish winger.

Very chequered past, clubs wise, for one so young (22).
Signed to Serie A club Calgiari. Was on the bench several times as a youngster, but never made an appearance.
Signed to Serie B club (and media darlings) Venezia, loaned out right away to NK Istra in the Croatian First Division, and then further loaned out to Deportivo Alaves B Team (which play in what is the fourth tier of Spanish Football).
Can't say, i'm much inspired by all that. It seems like a bit of a wild punt tbh. But we'll see.
We are missing a fucking lot of experience, and not sure this is the area of the team for gambles. Thinking back to 15/16 (Donaldson and Durnan), and of course the three untested young Goalies.
All for youth, vitality and pace further forward, but we already have young Centre Halves (Harding and Graham).
We need a bit of experience in the spine of the team.
All that said, if there's any truth to it, then i will (of course) judge the lad fairly, when i see him play.
Maybe, i;m panicking over nothing, but all the players we are linked with so far are very young.
Maybe, the experienced bruisers are down the line. We've signed no-one yet, after all.

Tek - its not often but I think we agree 🤣

I'm not putting too much stock in to rumours this year at all. That's not to have a go at anyone, but since Goodwin's taken over I don't particularly remember many rumours ever coming true and the club has generally done a decent job of keeping the lid on transfers until they are already over the line or hours away from being announced.
Have to say Lurie Lovu, the Moldovan centre half on loan in Spain from a team in Croatia sounds like like something you'd find after you're a few years deep in to a game of Football Manager

Ex-funster Scott Bain’s been released by Celtic. Wouldn’t be totally against us signing him, he’s a prick, but he’s a very good keeper.

Been told we are looking at a centre half by the name of Besir Iseni

We're due half a percent of any fee Liverpool get, should they sell Robertson, according to Twitter.
Do based on the last 18 months or so, we'll get about 20k tops

At least his gloves should still have plenty of wear left
