So,

The first two rumours are -

Scott Tiffoney on a free transfer from over the road and some Croatian Striker called Ivan Durdov (possible recommendation from Sevelj?).

Also, that rumour from Jerry Dungle that we might be interested in Andy Fisher, the Goalie from Swansea City who was just on loan to St.Johnstone.

Scott Burns crediting us with an interest in Cove Rangers Goalie, Nick Suman.

Aberdeen and Motherwell reportedly also interested.

I’ve heard before that the boy’s the best keeper in the lower leagues and folk wondering how on earth he’s ended up at Cove Rangers. But it’s once bitten, twice shy for me.

We need someone reliable with a proven track record at a decent level. The two times we’ve went down in recent years, have both stemmed from us gambling on the goalkeeper position. And it backfiring massively. Even with Richards there, who I rate as likely more reliable than any of the keepers we had in those seasons. 2 games is far too small a sample size to be absolutely certain on.

I’ve been going on about us not using the lower leagues for a few gems for years now but for a 25 year old goalkeeper from league 1 I’m not totally filled with confidence.

I wasn't paying much attention at the time but one of the guys St Johnstone had was impressive.
Tbh I think we can find a better more experienced keeper than the guy at Cove.

I wouldn’t mind it if we needed to sign 2 keepers, he’s probably got enough about him to challenge for the jersey. But we have Richards, who by all accounts is a great guy with a fantastic attitude and exactly the type of bloke you want as your sub keeper and Adams as number 2 and 3, we need an undisputed number 1.

Was it Andy Fisher or Ross Sinclair you were on about?
Saw just two St J games this season apart from ours and they had an outstanding keeper but no idea who it was.

Be a brilliant signing. He would add some steel to the midfield with Vicko and give us a really solid spine.

Would allow us to play wide players and 2 up top. Attack, attack, attack.

Back when he played for Accies i used to tell anyone who would listen that United should sign him and Alex Gogic.

Two absolute units, but can both play a bit too.
