Players for up top -

Ole Romeny - 22, just been released by FC Emmen. Have seen him play a few times, pace, skillful, direct and can play across the front.

Max Woltman - 19 - just been released by Liverpool. Pace, good close control, good finisher.

Sam Smith - 25 - out of contract from Cambridge United. Scored 14 goals for them last season.

Dan Agyei - 26 - scored 16 goals for Crewe last season. Is now a free agent. Big lad, strong, decent in the air, good goalscorer.

Tiffony would have been a good signing for the Championship, think that is perhaps his level though... I guess the Dees will find out.

Raith Rovers onto signing number 6 or 7 of the Summer. Seem to be throwing money at the league as well. That's them got in Josh Mullin (I would've taken), Kevin Dabrowski (would've taken in goals) and Jack Hamilton (also would've taken).

Feel like we're caught napping at the start again...

Their season finished 5 weeks ago. We only knew what league we were going to be in 12 days ago so they had a bit of a head start in fairness.

I'm looking for a bit better than those above and as long as there are 4 or 5 in for the first day of preseason then that fine by me.

The easiest part was last week in confirming that the out of contract players wouldn't be offered anything new, the extremely difficult part will be shifting this accumulation of shite that Ashgar has collected.

The success of this grand shifting of shite will play a major role in our recruitment both in terms of timing and numbers.

Didn't Raiths season finish a week before ours? Think we start back around the 22nd hope there's some movement before then though.

Wouldn't be sold on Dabrowski as first choice either.

Dundee fans have mixed views on him based purely on consistency.
On his game a very good player but off it tends to disappear.
Two players we should have signed, McCowan at Ayr when we got Shankland. It was McCowan who made Shankland tick down there. Tiffoney when he was a free agent at Firhill. Now? Not seen him so can't judge.

Ps page 1 of this makes interesting reading looking back to see where we were.
