Fair point SM.

As long as that was the plan and he is nowhere near the team on Saturday.

Re: Rangers vs DUFC - Wednesday 14th May

So, beat the Sheep at the weekend and we finish 4th?
Sounds easy when you type it fast.

Re: Rangers vs DUFC - Wednesday 14th May

See just going back to the match, not for the first time i thought watching Kai Fotheringham, that he would be far better playing as a Striker in a two.

He linked up really well with Dalby tonight in the first half before the game spun away from us. I'm talking about anytime he moved in central, and was around the Rangers box.

Or even him playing just off the Striker, but playing more central. He is not a winger, never has been.

Why was Walton no playing?

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

Was at fault for the first goal on Saturday and hasn't been great since the split.

Re: Rangers vs DUFC - Wednesday 14th May

I'd guess he was 95% fit so benched him for him to be 100% for the far more important game v the Sheep.
Shame in a way cos it's not often a player, even goalies, can say he played 90 mins of every single game.

Re: Rangers vs DUFC - Wednesday 14th May

Thought until their usual pen that we played not too badly last night in spells. I don’t rate him but every game Kai’s played at Ibrox he’s actually been decent. It was great to see one of our own bullet home that header in Sam.

St Mirren not winning and Aberdeen losing was the biggest part of our night. It’s now a straight shootout for 4th but no matter what happens 5th place looks sorted now which fairplay makes it a very good season on return to the top flight.

One more push needed lads!

Agree with this. I also thought Kai did well. Maybe as Tek says playing more central suits him better than a wide role.  I think he'll play on Saturday simply because of the fresh legs and energy he's bringing after such a long period on the bench.
Anyone else see that moment when one of our players plays a good pass out of defence into Campbell's path, he runs away from the ball thinking it'll come all the way to him and a Rangers player just walks in and takes it?
We're playing with 10.5 players!
I was surprised that our players didn't immediately surround the Rangers player that went down too easy for their pen. Is that just me?
Even if it WAS a pen (which I don't think it was) at least you're trying to influence the officials. We seem a bit accepting these days and it's not what I'd expect from a side managed by Jim Goodwin.

Overall a better performance than I expected but we just lack that quality in midfield to make things stick and play into dangerous areas. It's another area the recruitment team need to get right.

Footnote. Unfortunately if the last few weeks have taught us anything it's that if we struggle a bit early doors next season the Goodwin out brigade will be in full voice. They're waiting patiently.

Waiting patiently? We have been rank rotten since January - plenty have seen it coming. But crack on, I'll await the fans getting the blame post when he gets binned.

4 games lost with 2 goals scored since the split - hope you and the mediocrity acceptance brigade are happy

Re: Rangers vs DUFC - Wednesday 14th May

Even from the highlights last night it is clear to see that Kai isn't that great.  Causes problems though just because he plays with energy. It's also clear to see that he's a better option than Paton...

Triggered? The manager you are bending backwards over to protect is absolutely honking. Doesn't seem to bother you - for somebody that didn't like Craig Conway I am not surprised.I would say open your eyes but IMO you enjoy total turgid football. Probably loved Laszlo
