From the games I remember from last season, always thought he was a good player

He isn't particularly pacey, no.

He is very much a penalty box Striker and as such i don't quite understand the signing, given we already have two of them (Dalby and Moult).

We needed a different type up top. Paton for me wont bring that.

Though i hope i'm very wrong.

Re: January Transfer Window

Hearing we are also interested in a young guy from Man City. Emilio Lawrence.

And supposedly Loick Ayina is coming back on loan. Which can only mean Kevin Holt is in fact leaving.

Sounds promising. Not understanding the Ayina move though as firstly he's right sided so hardly cover for Holt,we already have Sam Harding for that side of the pitch but desperately lacking cover for Ferry and Graham if Holt is allowed to leave.

Re: January Transfer Window

Paton has just changed his twitter bio to professional footballer at Dundee United.

Done deal by the looks of things.

Welcome to the club young man.

I also hope you're very wrong, but based on that I'd have to agree. If he bangs in goals then I won't care though obviously.

I wouldn't be pushing Holt out the door but if he gets a good deal.we get a good deal and big Ross gets more game time then everyone wins.

Not sure though just how much young Ayina has came on since he played with us. Looked a decent prospect 2 years ago but his career has stalled by the looks of it.

Seen that.

Not sure about this signing at all tbh, given he's not the speed merchant we are crying out for. But i hope he proves me wrong.

I will say in his defence he has good feet, has a good shot on him and also takes a very good free kick.

He's just not particularly pacey, but maybe Goodwin has someone else up his sleeve to provide that. I hope so.

Always thought he was a bit of a nuisance, but yeah agree wee tek not exactly the type of striker I thought we would be after.

Scott burns ain’t tweeted yet so still might be a load of shite

Ayina was hopeless

I wouldn't say hopeless but definitely had a brainfart in his locker. Also really hate having players back that were part of that relegation team, rather have some cover for Ferry/Graham and let young Sam cover for Manny and Dec.

Re: January Transfer Window

Can't say I know anything about the boy Fiorini, I vaguely recall the name. Just need to hope he's decent and able to play well at this level.

Does anyone else get the feeling David Babunski might be for the off?

Re: January Transfer Window

I am slightly concerned about just how many loan deals we are going to have if all these signings come through. Unless we have some kind of future fee agreed it feels a wee bit short sighted.

Good thing to be moaning about signings though

Re: January Transfer Window

These are definitely not the type of signings that many fans will find exciting but then I doubt any of us had heard of Will Ferry before he signed.

Fiorini I'm aware of from Under 21 team listings but that's it.
Paton did look threatening against us in the Championship but not blessed with scorching pace.

Need to trust in the recruitment team with this.

Team listing tomorrow may tell us more about DB . Initially was said to be ill, then we were told he was carrying a knock. Will he be in the squad?

Subbed off regularly, ineffective in some games, looked at times like a player who felt his superior skill level was being blotted out in fast flowing high ball Scottish games, maybe not enjoying his football here.

Dave’s a tidy player but i just don’t think he’s suited for the Scottish game.

He's in the latest training video so perhaps it's all smoke and no fire?

Re: January Transfer Window

Watching some footage of the boy Fiorini there.

Has a great right foot. Doesn't score too often but when he does they tend to be pearlers.

Heard he injured his groin a few weeks back…

Seen Sibbald training too in the video, get him back soon when 100%.
