I like it too, but have a feeling Doc will be on the bench again (unless he's stubbed his toe) and Babunski will be back in.

I agree and that's my concern. It might just come too soon for him and we cant/shouldn't rush him back.

What we can't let happen is let Shinnie dominate as he did at Pittodrie.  Stop him and they don't tick.

Stephenson will hopefully benefit from a wee break and come in fired up.

Babunski NEEDS to step up un this one and play his best game, he has been on the sidelines and to be honest we have looked better without him, he has got to show the gaffer that he should be starting.

I have a feeling we might just drop back to 4 at the back for this one.

Leadership and organisation on the pitch is required against an oppenent who will be desperate to bounce back in front of a large 10000 away support.

Not my XI but the odds.
We're 13/10, them 19/10.
A month ago that would have been the other way round.

Docherty could get injured taking the decorations down so we should play him while he's available!

Re: United Vs Aberdeen - Sunday 29th January (5.15pm)

This is a game that i am sure Jim Goodwin is desperate to win, not just for United but for himself, after the dogs abuse Aberdeen fans gave him (and still do). A great chance for a bit of redemption for him and to rub their noses in it given their recent awful form and massive bubble burst.

They haven't kept a clean sheet in over two months, ironically the last one was against us in that awful performance up at Pittodrie when we were far too passive and they beat us 1-0.

They have conceded a lot of goals recently. Six to Celtic, three to Hibs (twice in a month), four to Killie.

Killie murdered them on the flanks on Boxing Day, particularly down Aberdeen's right hand side. I want to see Ferry and Middleton really going at them at every opportunity and getting as many crosses into the box for Dalby.

We really need to get at them on Sunday. I'd like to see us play with width -

...........................Walton.................
.....Adegboyega..Graham..Holt....
....Strain...................................Ferry..
............Stephenson..Sevelj...
....Thomson......Dalby....Middleton...

Subs - Richards, Odada, Docherty, Babunski
Trapanovski, Ubochioma, Van Der Sande, Fotheringham, Stirton

Re: United Vs Aberdeen - Sunday 29th January (5.15pm)

They will be desperate to end their poor run against us and will be up for it after that poor result at Killie so we’ll need to be right up for this.

Take the game to them, put that defence under pressure.

Re: United Vs Aberdeen - Sunday 29th January (5.15pm)

This could be a season turner for us either way of result. Beat the cunts and we’re 3 behind the greatest Aberdeen side since Fergie and their spiral continues.

Let’s be honest, this game is bigger than Dundee to Goodwin. Putting one over on them while playing shite and a real chance to push ahead to finish ahead of them with be his redemption.

They’ll be desperate to win this and so will their 3300 pissed up fans.

We score the first goal and they’ll crumble.

Good post. Adds something extra to what would already be a big game.

Easy to forget Goodwin started that season at Aberdeen really well and then the wheels fell off after the World Cup.  Parallels with how this season is panning out for them. Lose to us and another few plus an early exit from the Scottish cup - surely Jimmy T won’t take Jim’s place as their worst ever manager 😁

It’ll be interesting to see if Jim has learned any from the first game up there and hope he picks a team to have a go at them.
