Which ones? Doyle-Hayes? Levitt?

Wont be available but I would definitely take Newell but no chance I'm wanting Levitt back.

Reckon it’s Jake Doyle-Hayes. He played for 2 seasons under Jim at St Mirren.

More than one under consideration apparently

Newell would be decent.

Newell wouldn't be considered peripheral.

Levitt used properly is a real game changer.
Doyle-Hayes can suck a fart out my arse.
Newell is a fucking liability, and a helmet, and not that good.

I'm assuming it is one or both of the first two. D-H has been out injured for a long time. Would be a strange one to bring in a player to get fit for another team. So maybe Levitt more likely. There's also the boy Amos who I understand is a decent player but Easter Road politics means he's not getting much of a chance.

Triantis? maybe try and take over his loan deal

Why do we want players who can't get a game for the bottom team?

Under the right coach in the right team playing the right way Newell is very decent.
Not sure what's going on in that Hibs dressing room but it doesn't look good.

Newell's a good player imo, but he wouldn't be considered a fringe man at Hibs.
So, it would have to be Levitt or Doyle Hayes.
Levitt is fantastic on his day played No.10 but would we even play him there given we rarely play Babunski there? Doubtful.
And Doyle Hayes can fuck off. Turned us down to go to Hibs remember. Isn't even a good player.

I'd take the Boyler but he's maybe lost a yard of pace.
Despite that probably still their best player so it wouldn't be him.

Jort, Kai and Middleton out in January please Jim.

If we spent money on Jort (I think read somewhere that we paid pretty big transfer fees for him and Odada) then there is no way he'll be getting punted.
Middleton annoys me. He clearly has ability and can take a game when he wants. I just think he's too easily distracted from bringing his "A" game each week. I get the impression he's the type of player who needs more than an arm around the shoulder and if he doesn't get that then he can't/won't perform.,

I think a striker with face is a priority. We also need some sort of cover for Ferry at LB/LWB and a solid CH to partner Ross Graham wouldn't go a miss.

I'm thinking we'll see very little happening in this window, in or out.
I'm thinking the club will realise that we need to bring in a LB but tbh I can't see us signing an understudy in January who's going to sit on the bench. I think they'll do what they did with McMann, line up a replacement and bring him in when Will departs.
Striker wise I just don't see the urgency, we have 3, and we have pace from other players. Again I think they'll be looking at what kind of striker we replace Dalby with in the summer.
So I think the summer will be big again especially with losing the likes of Luca Manny Dalby Walton etc but I'm thinking January will be quiet.

I was hearing (not sure if any truth to it) that we were offering Dalby a contract. He would be free to talk to us from January, as would Walton.
Can see a big clear out in the summer, possibly all the loan players will be away for good, Doherty, Sibbald, Middleton, Gallagher, and I would he very surprised if offers don't come in for Will Ferry.

I think we should be giving Stirton a try more often. Don’t accept if they are good enough they will play. Many managers are scared to play young guys. Joort was poor again on Saturday. Agree we have a lack of pace in the team and a fast striker would be good.
Think priority should be a fit Docherty, probably a few years younger. Odada still not convincing and when we had no natural central midfield on Saturday he still wasn’t brought on.

Stirton is nowhere near ready. He'll need a well thought out loan spell and weekly football to get up to speed in the match ready sense and if that loan isn't available then he stays and gets the odd 15/20 minutes here or there.
We could do with left wing back cover and something different (and more experienced than Stirton) up front. Otherwise concentrate efforts on next season.

Jort has played 16 times this season and hasn’t scored once.
Don’t know how many times stirton has had a chance - is it only 1 and he has scored?
His development is being hampered by a striker that doesn’t score goals and is often not even in the box. Whatever people think of the rest of his game a strikers job is to score goals.
I would much rather Stirton or another young Scottish lad is brought on instead of a striker that isn’t going to score.

There is a lot to agree with above, but ultimately bringing in lads that aren't ready yet is only going to result in negative outcomes - we saw what happened when we gave Rory MacLeod game time - it set him back and his expectations then overtook his ability. Hopefully he'll come good (as I am sure Stirton can) but this is not the league to be putting undue pressure on young shoulders. Personally I think VDS has a positive impact on the team when he plays and I think we have scored goals because of his input, but I can't deny he's a forward player that hasn't scored and that has got to be a consideration for the manager. Best thing would be for him to break his duck and get on the goal trail.
