What XI and formation for Saturday?

I'd go unchanged. Same 11 that started v County.

A low block I think they call it in 2024.
Defensive as feck, try and hit them on the counter, Rangers play very narrow so hopefully Ferry and Strain can be the difference.

Graham back in. Would like Docherty in the team if fit. Expect we will be 3 at the back and 1 up front again.

I hear that all the time these days, genuinely have no idea what it means.
Modern wank speak for going defensive, i'm guessing.

I suspect that's what it will be.
Temptation must be there to bring Ross Graham back in, but it's hard to change a winning team.

If RG is 100% it's definitely tempting given the headed goals we've lost in his zone while he's been out, eg Pittodrie and Easter Road.
But that 11 looked so balanced last time it just seems logical to go again. Not seen a whole lot of Sevco but they're not big on high crosses, more trying to break you down on the deck.
I dreamt we won this 0-1
3-0 incoming then.

He's a goal threat at the other end too.
Three goals in his last seven games for Utd.
You'd take that form from a Striker.

If Graham is 100% he starts. He's better than Holt. If he's a risk then leave Holt in and start with the same team.

Same team except Van Der Sande out - Russell in

Graham not fit according to Goodwin.
Docherty and Moult both available for selection.
Trapa missing for another few weeks.

Graham being not quite ready solves one problem. Which is leaving out Kevin Holt. He was awful good against Coonty.
Docherty & Moult won't half strengthen the bench.
Same starting XI then with good use of substitutes?

If Docherty is fit then imo he should start.
We are much better side with him in it.
I know we played well against County but this is a far greater challenge.

Weather is not great through in the west for anyone travelling to the game today.
Safe travels.

I'm not sure if Goodwin & Moult are trying to convince themselves with the New Rangers are there for taking talk in the build up to this game.
If we start the way we did at Tannadice, which for me was a pathetic surrender in a home game this game will be over by half time.

Agreed. We need to keep the ball. Docherty is the best in the team at doing that. Him in for Stephenson or Strain for me.

Why would you drop Stephenson though?

Kick off delayed until 3:45.

That's a decent result, sounds like Walton was the hero in the late stages.

Really good point. It is becoming clear Goodwin has our team really well drilled. Especially defensively. I have problems about how we control games and lack of creativity. But we are actually scoring regularly and we frequently soak up pressure, defend well and take points away from home with different systems and combinations of defenders.
