Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

Fingers crossed that both Macedonians come through their game tomorrow night against Armenia unscaved (if they even play).

Noticed Jort Van De Sande scored in the 91st minute for Bonaire against El Salvador in the early hours of this morning, so presumably he's ok and will now be flying back to us.

Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

A game to look forward to for sure with Rangers poor start to the season Ross County game aside. Can see Sevelj for Holt being the only change for this one. Hopefully Trapanovski is back on his game as I think he can really exploit Tavernier who the Rangers fans have really turned on the last few months.

Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

We need to frustrate them like we did at tynecastle and they’ll start to turn on their players. Sevelj for Holt only change for me.

Would love a point this Sunday, even though they’ve been shite.

Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

Turmoil or not, they absolutely pummelled Ross County (who we could only draw against) a few weeks ago. It'll be really tough and any result will be welcome. The big decision for me will be whether or not to stick with the 3-4-3 or go 3-5-2. 3-4-3 has the advantage of having Ferry and Trapanovski which will help us defensively against Tavernier and Cerny who are their main threats down their right. I worry about leaving Ferry on the side on his own in a 3-5-2. The disadvantage is again, what we do with Babunski in that 3-4-3 system.

Too much commotion

Babunski started for North Macedonia but was taken off on the 46th minute.

Funny time to take him off unless it was through injury.

Really hope not.

it was tactical, because they were down to 10 men

Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

Yeah watched first half and he was OK, had a few efforts on goal.  Defender got sent off right on half time and Babunski was then sacrificed for another defender at the interval.  Will be fine for Sunday.

Hopefully take his frustration out on The Rangers.

Home end sold out 4 days before the game.

Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

Obviously that’s great that the home end’s sold out but there’s certain to be loads of empty seats in the GF lower as a result of free u12 season tickets not being used.  I’ve heard of some folk taking out couple free u12 tickets with their own seat so when their mates go to the odd game they can sit with them (dunno how common this is).  Whilst free under 12s is a great initiative I think a nominal charge would be better, say £10-£15 for u12 season tickets as this would ensure they’re properly used.

I also think for sold out games such as this Utd should do more to get fans who aren’t going to be attending to get in touch with the club so they can re-release their seats to Utd fans who would still like to buy a ticket.

Finally, if these high home crowds continue I hope Utd consider keeping the shed for home fans like we do v Dundee.  Certainly hope we do this v Aberdeen in December when there will be huge demand from home and away fans .

The cost of the u12 tickets is included in the price, it's more expensive than it is to sit behind the goal. A few years back it was the same price to sit at the end of the GF as it was in the East stand.

I do agree about your other points (1) keep the shed (2) ST holders should give any unused tickets back to the club for resale- the club should have an avenue for this.

I have given my season ticket away for this weekend, I refuse to subject my kids to the bile that come that lot and their IRA loving friends. That said the U12s STs now has the full family die hard Arabs and that Is the whole point of it, from my point of view it's been a great success and offers families great value for money.

Agree on the nominal fee for an under 12 ticket, re Sunday much like the derby the home end is sold out yet there were a fair scattering of empty seats.

Part of that will also be that there's plenty fans who simply can't be arsed listening to 90+ minutes of bigoted wankers chanting their pish whilst  relentlessly banging a drum for the fucking sake of it.

Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

Ticket sales depend significantly on results. If we get turned over on Saturday
and go on a poor run  keeping the Shed for UTD fans won't be a discussion point.
As an optomist I'm predicting the above ain't happening.

Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

What also leads to loads of empty season ticket holders seats for Sunday games is the amount of kids who play Sunday boys in this area. There's a full fixture card across 10am, 12 noon and 2pm kick offs for various age groups. That often prevents their parents from going to Tannadice as well. I know personally my son is playing at 2pm so has to be there for 1:15pm so will miss the match. I'm going to Tannadice but will then head down to his game but will likely miss about 15-20 minutes.

Regardless of a home sell out or not, we should not be giving anyone over 5000 tickets especially these minky sectarian bastards. I understand the club want business but there’s no reason why we can’t cut their allocation to 3500 (shed and fair play) or (Jerry Kerr and fair play).

With the sell out 4 days before the game, i have no doubt we could’ve sold maybe 200-300 tickets. I’d rather 200-300 united fans in the shed or Jerry Kerr than those orcs. Having extra support like 300 that could create some noise and help us get a result, that is far more important than an extra 40K or whatever.

Also ram this shite about how empty seats looks bad for our game.

1) that’s just some made up fantasy by the old firm fans when they cry together.

2) you don’t hear that chat when rangers had 25K against St Johnstone at Hampden last month in the via play or when Celtic had 40K against Buckie Thistle in the Scottish cup. 20K empty seats in each ground.

3) what looks bad for our game is one half singing about the IRA and the other half singing about the pope and child abuse.

Fuck the both of them.

.............................Walton...........................
........Adegboyega...Gallacher...Graham....
Stephenson......Sibbald..Sevelj..........Ferry
Trapanovski......Van De Sande....Babunski

Maybe we will see Docherty playing given he has been getting a few minutes here and there recently.

I would love Goodwin to figure out a system that gets Babunski playing in a central position where we get the best out of him.

Excellent post. I suppose the club would say that wages need paying but sold out with 4 days to go suggests we could have sold a decent amount in the Shed. Are they getting 5000 though? Shed plus FP = what? They getting the JK as well?
GF and ET together hold how many? Reason I ask is a sell out recently has been around 12500
Great to see attendances on the rise though even for home games v likes of St J and Mirren.

Really hope we can beat them ***ts

Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

Without derailing this post, the club must look at this for the next big home game.

Three home league games and the GF and the East stand have sold out every game, it's unacceptable we are shutting out our own fans.

Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

This games all about belief. This is still a new team who haven't faced the 12 men of Rangers. I heard Adegboyega saying how thrilled he was to be a playing a team like Rangers. There is no space for any of that shite tomorrow.
W need to go out and try to win the game not trying not to lose it.
