Biggest issue for me is still CM. Babunski is more of a 10 player or at least at the front of a midfield 3 while IMO Sibbald it bang average at this level. Odada needs to step up or even Docherty might get and stay fit.
Games are won and lost with control of the centre circle, we can't start any more games 3-4-3 if the central 2 are Babunski & Sibbald. Sort that and we will be OK.

Spot on.
Too easy for teams right now, middle of the park have no control on the game right now. Sibbald at the minute is miles off it, hopefully he gets that swagger about him back.
I would add that the new lad never filled me with any confidence that he is the answer however he is only 20 and it might have just been nerves but he will need to get up to speed and quick.
It's a clean sheet we need more than anything right now and that looks miles away. It was too easy for them yesterday in the first half.
Build from the back.

A game or two halves. They were all over us in the first half but we were much better in the second. The change of formation definitely helped us, Sevelj in the middle let Dave get on the ball, though Vicko was decent again.
First half, Miller Thomson should score in the first minute but for the next 44 we were honking and lucky to go in at 0-0. Well done to Jack Walton for the pen save, made up for his error.
Second half we were excellent. Great work from Ferry and a tidy finish from Dave. If we just defended a little better at the end we would’ve held on.
Two games in, we’ve shown we can compete with County and Dundee anyway. Next league game at home to Perth Saints is a must win though.
Special mention to the United fans, loud as fuck all game. I’ve got Trapa’s song stuck in my head!
MOTM- Ferry

Should be 1-0 up after 10 seconds, rode the storm, penalty probably a foul but it wasn't a trip more Walton placing his gloves on the boy's foot, sloppy, but he attoned.
Scored a good goal, Sibbald has to bury his chance, Mioult should get his header at least on target.
Poor defending for the equaliser so late in the game, just stay switched on, if Gallacher comes for that he has to meet it, or give his fellow defenders a shout at least.
Not overly concerned about the lack of dig in the centre of the park as we've signed players or have players who will return.
But we need guys up to speed sharpish, 90 minuted for Odada and Adegboyega on Tuesday if possible. (s)

Agreed.
We need to get Docherty and Odada up to speed asap. And then hope both can play well at this level.

Btw just me or should Van De Sande not bury that early chance when he rounds the Keeper?
Squares it instead of using his weaker foot, poor. A good Striker just calmly passes that into the net on the angle. Jury's out on him for me.
We desperately need a goal scorer. The boy who scored for County today (Ronan Hale) looked good. Scored 6 or 7 for them already. Signed from Cliftonville in Ireland. There are Strikers out there.
That's a bit harsh blaming VdS on account of him laying it on a plate instead of scoring himself.
He did everything he should have done, the angle was too tight to go it alone.
The square ball to Thomson was perfect.
It's such a shame for Thomson, he may have held the record for fastest ever in the SPFL.

He didn't do everything he should have done.
If he did he would have scored. The angle wasn't even that tight, he just lacked confidence on his weaker foot.

My view is he should have played Thomson in much earlier before the defence got back. Might still have missed mind

Lets not try to pass the buck, it was a horrendous miss.

It was. Not disputing that.
But I'd expect my main Striker to finish after rounding a Keeper.

I think the camera angle makes it seem a tighter angle than it was, but if it goes in we're applauding him for his selflessness and further boosting Thompson's confidence.
He squares it before rounding the keeper and it's a 'sweaty goal' as the kids say on FIFA, but they count the same.
It's a horrendous miss, but at the point he hits it there's 2 or 3 bodies on the line, probably distracted.
4 options, in order
Square it, take the keeper out the game.
Slot it home.
Dink it over the keeper.
Round the keeper lay it off.
As Tek says above you want your striker doing 1-3
Having watched it again just now, he takes it round the keeper so well, but takes a poor 2nd touch, probably meaning he might not have got as much power on it as he'd like and we be shouting "Square it FFS!" If he missed

Their goal - comedy:
- 7 minutes extra time ?
- Odada gets the ball around half way line left hand, no pressure, blooters ba to wide right, manages tae give them goal kick when a throw in to them in right hand corner would have been easier.
- Long goal kick Gallacher and two other manager to cock it their guy gets it wide left Holt not goal side of hes man then disnae take on for the team.
- Ironically their goal mirror image of Millers miss.
Odada and Adegboya have a lot of catching up to do.
Meschak looked good in his brief showing.
Sibbs still no clicking.
Sevelj, Babunski, Trapper, Ferry - class, and commitment.
Why Holt and no Graham ? Also dinnae mean tae harp on but quite simply McMann was better than Holt. - If we play par and sub par players we're going to end season 7th - 9th.
MOTM - Walton, away support.
Positives: at least we have a couple of games before next League game.
Gutted just the same, two points dropped against dross.
