Reading on the fishal the squad is down at Mottram Hall in NW England for 4 days in the 1st week of July which is now.
There's meant to be a bounce game v a local opponent during the 4 days.
Any word on who it is?

It's an English Championship side so can only be Blackburn or Burnley.

Aye someone else on the forum has said that it's Derby. Connahs Quay pulled out.

Heard it was meant to be Wrexham but they pulled out.
Apparently playing Connah's Quay tomorrow afternoon after all.

I’d ideally like a game in front of fans before Falkirk.
Like it or not, we are using the League Cup as the final part of pre season. Again.

Shouldn’t be using a trophy that we can potentially win or get to Hampden as a pre season. I want to win all 4 and through on top.

To be fair we were the first Premiership side to return to pre season. I highly doubt any side will have played more than three friendlies before the league cup starts.

Definitely still Connahs Quay.
Players are staying at Mottram Hall for pre-season.

We've still got Luton at Tannadice, end of July.

Read in a Courier article that Connahs Quay have a Europa League qualifier v a Slovenian team next week so they should be trying. Or not. They play in Flint, NE Wales, so an hour & a half down the M6 from where they're staying.

Utd beat Connah's 1-0 (Middleton).
Haven't lost a goal in pre-season yet (excellent), but there does seem an obvious lack of goals in the team.
Hope we get some movement next week in midfielders and/or Strikers.

I heard he was wanting back in January but the budget was not there.
Not sure about that signing personally.

If true,I hope his workrate has improved significantly. He has the talent undoubtedly but needs to work for the team too.

Not sure about that signing at all.
Carved out a good career in England but a couple of Hearts lads I know thought he was disappointing with them.
