Anyone on here ever named one of their pets after a Utd player?

Re: Pets with Utd names

My wee cocker spaniel, Sacha, wasn’t originally my dog, I adopted her when she was 2. Her name was modified to Sash bash (after a dyspraxic waitress, Ash bash, who worked in The Burnbrae in Milngavie).

I used to walk Sash bash and her sister Micha round the waterworks in Milngavie. Everyone assumed that I must be a Rangers supporter. In fact, Amy MacDonald, no less, laughed when I called Sash bash.

When I explained although I didn’t actually name her, Sacha, was the nickname of Dundee Utd’s greatest ever player (Narey), nobody actually remembered  it.

Re: Pets with Utd names

Mrs RTA got a cat 2 years ago. Only decision i got in it was to name him. Called him Ralphie.

Wee shit at the start but fast forward 2 years, me and him are best buds and he gets on so well with the other animals.
