Partick Thistle Vs Dundee United - Saturday 2nd March

What XI and formation would you play on Saturday for this huge match?

I think it will be 4-4-2 as we have beaten them with that. Unfortunately that prob means Watt and Middleton starting

He said in today's press conference that Wotherspoon ans Melman should be back next week.

Heard that few times from him this season.

If you have seen the Madagascar films,  Melman is the hypochondriac Giraffe that's always sick/injured.

That's not good if true.

He would have some neck on him considering the amount of game time he's missed.

That's what i'd go for too.

Earlier changes though if things aren't going to plan.

I'd put Grimshaw in at right back.  He's not a good enough footballer to play midfield.  I'd be tempted to put Thomson in alongside Sibbald at CM but if he was thought not to have the game for that then I'm afraid it needs to be Tilson or Glass or if the lad McLelland could play CDM then maybe him.  I'd play Fotheringham on the left and Cudjoe (or Thomson if not CM) on the right.  Middleton needs dropped.  I'd play Grieve and Moult up top - Watt needs dropped.

I'd play the boys that actually want it and not the charlatans that pretend to be professional football players.

What's Glass done to deserve a start?

Forget about Glass he's not even been at training and told to find another club

Middleton will 1000% play, no way does he deserve to but he will

Correct!  The fact that he hasn't been part of the latest series of total shit performances might justify giving him another chance.  I assume that is why Mochrie and Meekison were included v Airdrie.

However, wasn't aware that he was told to go.  No complaints with that - he won't (or shouldn't be) the only one, but we've got to piss with the dick we've got at the moment....

I suspect so.  He's pish though.  I watched him closely in the Dunfermline game.  Never got past his marker once.  McMann seemed to be able to do so with relative ease however. (Not that McMann then did anything with it, obviously).

The Chocolate captain returns, how long will it last this time ? wagers?

Walton

Grimshaw
Gallagher
Holt
Mcmann

Fotheringham
Thomson
Sibbald
Middleton

Moult
Watt

We’re more secure with Grimshaw at the back. Thomson was getting rave reviews playing for Montrose in midfield so I’d play him there.

He'll put in a good performance v Thistle with a view to going back there next season.

Probably Goodwin gambling on his fitness again because he's desperate for a result. Even if we win tomorrow we will undoubtedly follow it up with another wet fart performance at Morton. I'll certainly not be going overboard with praise should we win tomorrow, I'll reserve the praise for when we actually string some results together in the worst championship for years.

I might be the only one who feels sorry for our captain. The narrative here seems to be to have a go at him for being injured. It will be good to get him back in the team.

Not at all, I'm sure everyone will be delighted to see him return.  The results speak fit themselves.

It is though,  very frustrating when its training ground injuries that are keeping him out.
