I think he will come good, the thing I like about him is that at least he's getting into the positions to miss chances. Hopefully he start banging them in, starting with next Friday.
I should have also added that the young guys that haven't played a lot of 1st team games that I am not sure about. Just not seem enough but I trust Goodwin with signings, he's not got many wrong with the limited budget he has had compared with the last few managers/sporting director who have squandered millions on shite.
Agreed, especially with the bit in bold.

The list below are all current DUFC players who's contract will be up in the Summer. Who would you keep out of the list, if any?
Jack Walton
Mark Birighitti
Ruairidh Adams
Kieran Freeman
Ross Graham
Kevin Holt
Scott McMann
Flynn Duffy
Craig Moore
Layton Bisland
David Wotherspoon
Craig Sibbald (appearances close to triggering new 1 year extension, however)
Jordan Tillson
Archie Meekison
Declan Glass
Chris Mochrie
Mathew Cudjoe
Lewis O'Donnell
Bryan Mwangi
Alex Grieve
Louis Moult
Logan Chalmers
Sadat Anaku
Miller Thomson
That's a whopping TWENTY FOUR players out of contract. All have been involved in either first team or first team squads.
Meaning that the only senior players left on the books as of June will be-
Jack Newman
Luke Grimshaw
Declan Gallagher
Glenn Middleton
Ross Docherty
Craig Sibbald (almost certainly)
Tony Watt
Kai Fotheringham
Rory MacLeod
NINE players left with first team experience. Though two of them with very little (Newman and MacLeod).
We would need the biggest overhaul of players and the biggest Summer recruitment campaign that the club has possibly ever faced.
Back to my original question. Who would you offer a new deal too, if indeed anyone?
Not 1 of those 24 players are worthy of a top 6 squad.

Me to, especially given the fact he told us and has made short term signings as such.

Hearing Stillliving might be about to become more cheery than normal.
Apparently Kieran Freeman is close to reaching a settlement with the club to leave his contract early.
Rumours of interest from America.

I heard that Robbie Neilson was wanting to take him to America, back in January.

I'd keep Moult, he's scored goals at the top level before and 20 goal strikers are hard to find.
Offline
Jack Walton Would like him to stay if he is available and wants to be here
Mark Birighitti get this guy so far away to fuck from my club
Ruairidh Adams Don't know much about him, so can't comment
Kieran Freeman gone
Ross Graham keep
Kevin Holt I wouldn't renew
Scott McMann keep
Flynn Duffy I wouldn't renew
Craig Moore I wouldn't renew
Layton Bisland I wouldn't renew
David Wotherspoon 50/50 on whether to keep or not
Craig Sibbald keep
Jordan Tillson I wouldn't renew
Archie Meekison I wouldn't renew
Declan Glass gone
Chris Mochrie I wouldn't renew
Mathew Cudjoe I wouldn't renew
Lewis O'Donnell Keep - but purely on heresay as I haven't seen him play for myself
Bryan Mwangi I wouldn't renew
Alex Grieve I wouldn't renew
Louis Moult Keep
Logan Chalmers I wouldn't renew
Sadat Anaku I wouldn't renew
Miller Thomson has already been offered
Like dufc2019 said above, I wouldn't lose sleep if Grimshaw and Watt left, but I would keep Middleton, for reasons I can't quite put my finger on.

im not sure like, he has also missed quite a few, there is games his general play has been terrible and he is as slow as week in the Jail.
I'd keep him as a squad/backup but not sure he'd sign as that.

Usually when you give an answer in this type of question, someone pipes up with "There's no way we can get rid of them all, or that's just not feasible!"
We all know we just can't get rid of contracted players and we can't replace a whole squad, but it's a 'If you have a blank canvas type question'
Jack Walton if he wants it
Ross Graham keep
Craig Sibbald keep
Lewis O'Donnell Don't know enough about him so keep based on it would be unfair to judge
Louis Moult don't think he would stay to be backup so gone
Miller Thomson has already been offered

Gallagher i'm not sure has the ability, pace, or will stay injury free to offer us enough and despite them both contributing massively this season, i'm still traumatised by Watt and Middleton's efforts last time in the top league.

Of the out of contract players, I’d be offering deals to.
Graham
McMann
Sibbald
Moult
and of the contracted players
Newman
Gallagher
Docherty
Watt*
Fotheringham
I’d be inviting bids for
Liam Grimshaw
Glenn Middleton
*on the fence with Watt.
(Obviously we will have Academy Graduates in the squad too, but I’m looking to sign 11 starters in the summer)

Sack the Manager?

dufc2019 wrote:

I think a lot of people have been influenced by watching Utd under perform in big games and see the manager being incapable / unable of changing things ( last 3 games were forced changes to centre half’s and only Grimshaw was the exception for the Morton game )

I Agree I dont think he is upto the job long term. But what I'm saying is bringing in a completely new squad, especially with this manager, might not work as well as it did for Dundee.
Maybe we should not spend a penny on our ground and blow it all on players

Bear in mind that Dundee appear to have quite a lot of loan players this season? So they’ll be on another rebuild job in the summer assuming all those loan players are back at their clubs/elsewhere.

I don't think there is much debate they have a better manager than we do
