Carlisle game

Interested to see what people thought of that today.

For me I really enjoyed the first 45mins, on the front foot and aggressive all over the pitch.

First time I think we have played with a purpose in a year, looking to get it wide and get deliveries into the box. If we can get Moult fit then on first viewing we have ourselves a real striker.

Keeper again impressed and McMann was solid.

Gallagher dealt with everything he was asked to and looks like the sort of Defender we will need in the championship.

Decent performance from our under 21s who played the last 25 minutes and held their own against a league 1 side from England.

On to the real stuff next Friday.

Pretty much the story for the first 60 minutes until we brought on the young lads.

Won every header, ripped the ball back of them every time lost them and if we were a bit more clinical it would have been a much Biggar margin.

I was impressed by Docherty in the middle, certainly mixing it and getting stuck in.

McMann just wanted a 50/50 mre than their  fullback and we got a goal from it.

Feel much more positive going into the season  after today.

Hopefully take it into next Friday and get off to a great start.

Played into a hurricane in the first half which will be good practice for Gayfield.

Re: Carlisle game

Goals from yesterday, as above the determination from McMann atvthe first goal was typical throughout the team.

Re: Carlisle game

Good to get a game arranged for that day.  Burnley are free because their game v Luton is postponed.

Re: Carlisle game

Heard it's at Burnley's training centre.

Bit of a trek for a bounce game. I don't see the point tbh, just running the risk of us picking up injuries.

Should just have gave the players a free weekend. We've played a lot of football in a short space of time, as is.

Hmmm so behind closed doors?

Hopefully public allowed as their training ground is 5 mins drive from my house
