Being true to my word (and assuming that he has actually left) I am coming up to Tannadice for this one now that the Charlatan has departed. Boycott lifted.
After seeing 'highlights' of a no bad performance at Ibrox (bar the obligatory chuck ins from the charlatan keeper), I hope to travel with the knowledge that County and Killie have not improved their positions the day before and with the (probably misplaced) optimism that we will score and not concede against what appears to be the flakiest of flaky Hibs teams.
We really need 3 points from this one. I don't see us taking three points.

I hope to god we get a win from somewhere on Sunday but I fear our growing injury list coupled with our already wafer thin, unbalanced squad and dreadful goalkeeper has now made an already difficult task almost impossible. I'm worried.
Worth also noting in our current personnel crisis that there is absolutely NOBODY from within the academy who appears able to come in and plug the gaps in the team/squad. Fotheringham has been average at best, there are no hints of a central midfielder, a right back or a forward who could come in and do a job for any of the remaining 8 games. Champions League players though.
Thanks Tony, you've done an amazing job 👍

Somebody else who is posted missing is Ogren, I am not expecting him to pull a pair of boots on but where the fuck is he?
Leadership starts from the top.
Maybe it's too much to handle for this easy going business man, but if "his man' ain't around then he should be.
Hopefully Middleton will at least be on the bench and Smith back.

Absolutely spot-on mate.
He has proven to be a very weak leader.

Good post and all too sadly true.
There is not one player from our much vaunted Academy structure who has came even close to deserving to break into this awful Utd side (Fotheringham only there by default). That speaks volumes for the legacy Goldie has left.
Get someone running the Academy who knows wtf they're doing.

I came to peace with the fact we are going down weeks ago. We have looked like relegation fodder all season long (since Hearts away post-Alkmaar dooing), and the scandal that was our January window just cemented the fact we were doomed.
Our very last chance was to sign 2 or 3 free agents. And i actually blame Goodwin for his part in this. Sent the American Keeper away rather than attempt to get him fit over the period of a month when we had little games. He HAD to be better than Birighitti. Had to be. He also hasn't succeeded in signing a forward either. Gross negligence imo.
For me we were along the right lines of a team on Saturday, so i would keep it along those lines for Hibs on Sunday, with just two changes. Newman for Birighitti and Anaku for Pawlett. We simply must go two upfront and give support to Fletcher. We won't win games without scoring, so we must endeavour to go as attacking as we possibly can. Though i fear whatever XI we select the best they will muster is a draw.
My team would be -
......................Newman...............
.......Ayina....Edwards...McMann....
Freeman.............................Behich
........Harkes..McGrath..Sibbald
...............Anaku...Fletcher.....
Subs - Birighitti, Mulgrew, Niskanen, Cudjoe
Fotheringham, Djoum, MacLeod, Graham, Thomson

Season starts Sunday.
8 Games to go, no uglies, no Hearts, you'd think it would be 5 of the 8 at Tannadice.
Better coach, squad in disarray despite the fact that there are a lot of good indivuals, shit goal diff.
Agree with almost all comments above. I'd like to see Niskannen get more game time, at least he a worker.
In hindsight mebbe we should have hung on to Tony Twat. Fletcher to me works hes bollocks off wi little or no support and is copping a bit ae flak at present. Twat might ae a better poacher tae sit off Fletcher. In saying that I realise it's tried and failed in the past. However we now have a coach wi some nous and brought him in more central instead of free rein to flop around right left and centre - might have worked under Goodwin, we'll never know. One thing's for sure it's dire viewing at present.

Things have gone very quiet since the fat charlatan 'walked'. I appreciate it will take a little time before other investors can come in as intended, but for me it has gone far too quiet on that front. Ogren may have seen the error of his ways re. Asghar, but he has to acknowledge that the charlatan has ripped the heart out of the club and left it in a horrendous state. I genuinely can't remember when we have ever been in a position where we are genuinely struggling to put out a team with sufficient players of the quality required for the division we are in. Of course, that quality may not have produced what we are after, but we generally thought the vast majority of our players were competent at that level. Now we have only one actual striker (aged), no competent goalkeepers, questionable defence, no defensive midfield, a severe lack of creativity in the middle of the park and one winger (injured) the rest are aged, kids or not good enough.
All that said, whilst I am resigned to relegation, I still think there is a slim chance that we could stay up and that slim chance is the players continuing to say there is a good team spirit and determination to stay up. Here's hoping they are not winding us up too!

The coaches within the academy structure are too inexperienced. We have a heap of kids on loan that we have a lot of time and effort on over the years to no doubt sign for league one or two side when their contract expiries

Don’t know why but I’ve a feeling we will win tomorrow. I said before the St Johnstone game that if we didn’t win that game we would be relegated and I haven’t seen anything since then to change my mind but I’d take any kind of victory tomorrow and the little bit of hope from it that we could still turn it around.
1-0 Utd , Ryan header.

Don’t win tomorrow that’s us down

Ken Super Mario. That Scottish Premiership table is phuckin depressing.

That is a massive result, gives us a chance.
Ayina was excellent today, motm for me. Great effort from the players, big difference.
Have to say well done to Jim Goodwin as he has made a big difference since he came in. I thought we were beyond hope however we still have a chance here IF we kick on from this.

Overall a deserved 3pts. Keep us still in there fighting.
Aniya M.O.M
Fletcher , Sibbald & Behich played well.
Fotheringham was poor.
Freeman was abysmal.

What a huge win that is today. Gives us a shot in the arm and keeps our pulse alive. We were doomed today if we'd lost (or probably even if we drew).
Showed good character to come back from the set back of the equaliser and still win it.
Thought Loick Aynia at Centre Half was absolutely immense and barely put a foot wrong. Great range of passing too. I've said before but i actually believe he could easily play central midfield too. He's so good with the ball at his feet and can run, dribble and tackle. A really good player..
On to a very tough game at Motherwell next Saturday where we will need to be at our absolute best to take anything.

Yeah I hold my hand up on Ayina, although January was still a dreadful window

The improvement under Goodwin continues, we just look like a team that has been coached during the week instead of looking like a gang of individuals.
That said its all about results and getting the points on board. If we can take anything next week I fancy us to beat Livi before the break.
Some strong performances from us but nobody was immense or outstanding. Fletcher led the line and showed how it should be done to those playing behind him.
We need 11 of these on the park at all times if we are to manage the great escape.
There is much more work to be done and we are another week closer to having Middleton back which will be a boost, hopefully we see a return of the experienced Smith also.

Thought we were pretty decent the day. Ane oe the best performances oe the Season. Heebies had mair oe the ba but hardly did eff all we it. Deserved win IMO.
Like a nervous wreck efter they got thir equaliser. Made worse when Fletch and Niskanan missed. They woulda killed the gehm aff. Instead oe being 3-0 it was 1-1.
Kai struggled the day a bit. So did Freeman. The boy Ayina has something classy aboot him and a brah eye for a pass.
Play as good as that in the remaining gehms and we've got a chance. We had a couple oe no bad breaks the day.
MOTM for me Sibbald. Gets stuck in. Wish Harkes would dae the same.
Appreciate the Happy Easter we got fae Easter Road.

We did actually Bill. For the first time in ages.
Their chance in the 2nd minute. Nisbet actually nutmegs Birighitti and as it's going through his legs and into the net it just clips his heel which diverts the ball wide. Could have been a very different game if either that goes in or if Nisbet's free kick went in to put them 2-1 up.
About time we had some good luck though. Feels like we've had nothing but bad luck this season from being shafted by VAR decisions, multiple injuries, horrendous refereeing perfomances and us ourselves missing gilt edged chances every other week.

Not to mention the keeper chucking goals in most weeks too.

A pleasant return to Tannadice. Strange game. Hibs technically superior but little cutting edge. We were actually fairly poor in my opinion, but a win is a win.
I thought Ayina, McMann, Sibbald and Fletcher got pass marlks. Behich had a good game too, but if we've been doing fitness, looks like he's been sitting out. Birighitti just doesn't give you any confidence. He actually did very little wrong (although he did get a huge stroke of luck in the unintentional save from Nisbet right at the start), but I really do wonder what videos (if any) Hibs had been watching as they just didn't put him under any sort of pressure. Freeman, less said the better! A horrible performance and really needs a break from the 1st XI. If Youan was half the player Duk is then we would not have won that game. Mulgrew is past it. You can see there is a footballing brain there but he's so far off the pace these days and also he was wholly responsible for the goal. Even 6 months ago he's making that header. Harkes isn't a great footballer - fine as a squad that we are not relying upon but I guess he is where we are at! McGrath has flattered to deceive. I think Goodwin is the manager to get the best out of him, but he really needs to build his confidence. Maybe the pen will see a wee uplift. Fotheringham was asked to do the impossible. He's got to listen to Freeman telling him where to be (which was the wrong place half the time) and that just screwed him for anything positive going forward too. To be fair to Goodwin he realised his mistake and replaced him with someone who doesn't think, just runs (Niskanen) and that actually helped defensively at least. Fletcher was immense, bar missing his sitter. God help us if he gets an injury in the run in. Anaku still looks like he's not really a football player when asked to make a decision, but I think there is something to work with there. Still nowhere near ready for this level. Edwards - not on long enough to comment.
So what does it all mean? It means that if we can go to Motherwell and not lose and beat Livi the following week then we are still in this. The concern however is that if Fletcher gets an injury then we are finished. If we can get Middleton and Levitt back for post split we might just have enough quality to score goals. We must find a solution for the wing back positions. Freeman is just not at the races. Behich was lucky Hibs didn't ask him to defend as he isn't fit enough at the moment.
And oh yeah, Tony Asghar is a ****
