I'm not sure half of you watch the same Tony Watt that I have.
Does he have ability, absolutely. Does he have the attitude, workrate, desire and fight for a relegation scrap, no he does not.
You can't turn it on like a tap, trudging off against Hearts and following it up against County with another uninspiring appearance from the bench before dragging his lazy arse off the pitch. Fast forward to the Saints game and he was my MOM by some distance with all the correct minerals required for a player representing a club deep in the shit.
Hes had more clubs than Tiger Woods and far better coaches than Fox have tried and failed to get the best from him on a consistent basis.
Time to get rid and cut our losses and get someone in who will apply themselves better on the pitch on a regular basis.

I actually thought Tony was poor on Monday. Kept falling over and losing the ball, when Glenn and Kieran were wide on the right or Scott and Azziz on the other wing he was often missing from box which resulted in them playing short balls back and forward to each other instead of getting the ball in the box. He also see ended to miss an easier chance before he scored although I was sitting at the opposite end of the pitch which may have couded it a bit.

Agree with this. I was shouting for him to be subbed about 15 seconds before he scored. Was never in the middle when we had the ball on the wings and was getting in the way of Behich/Middleton half the time.

From where I was sat on Tuesday he was coming off prior to scoring.

Just to clarify, I'm in the not fussed camp..... Seems to me the only person not desperate to see the player many manager, coaches and fans believe could be there is Tony himself....

galatasaray bid 400,000 euros for behich
I’d imagine that will be swiftly rejected

Things i have heard yesterday (Friday 6th).
Utd wanting to get rid of both the Finn's this window (Niskanen and Eriksson). Two Goalies under consideration to replace Eriksson are apparently Michael McGovern and Matt Macey.
Also heard the club are 'open' to Behich, Watt, Harkes, leaving this window (for the right money).
Not heard of any outfield players we are after, but we surely must be.
Offline
Also seen the news that Logan Chalmers might be on his way to Forrest Green (who have just signed Jamie Robson).
It'll be a nominal fee, granted. But hopefully that helps us sign a player, as i honestly thought we'd have to pay him off. Or just wait till his contract ran out in the Summer.
Oh, and also see Declan Glass is away back to Cove. Never, ever happening for him at Tannadice. Sad in a way, but he's had his chances.

Oh, and also see Declan Glass is away back to Cove. Never, ever happening for him at Tannadice. Sad in a way, but he's had his chances.A dozen starts for us in 6 seasons doesn't smack of getting a chance.
Farmed out to here, there & everywhere plus knee surgery, maybe the boy deserves better.
His Boxing Day goal v Hibs tells you all you need to know.
Ive got to agree with Tek on this one. 6 seasons and how many managers? If any of the managers had faith in him he'd surely have more than a dozen starts.
Hope he goes on to have a good career and gets regular football somewhere and we get some money for him

Does it though? Ability is only half of the story, hard work, dedication and the right attitude are also required. Maybe a succession of managers have all seen what's missing.

I think the lad has ability, but that alone isn't enough sometimes.
He has had a terrible time with not one but two bad injuries that have kept him out for a year at a time and i have no doubt that that has had an impact on his development, but he has had his chances, not just at Utd but at Killie, Derry and now back at Cove where he was about 5 years ago. He has shown very little in the last two loan spells to justify being a Utd 1st team squad player.
He is on last chance saloon with this latest loan and has to really impress at Championship level, if he is to have a future with Utd. Not a great start today you would have to say.

Bang on the money, these traits are apparent in more of our players than you'd think, and it's across all levels and has been for too long.
The moment that some get minutes with the reserve or main team even in minor friendlies then, in their minds that's them now established as 1st team picks.
Woke coaches scared of being brutally honest are to blame as are the players. In training they get the protection to show what they can do but in a real game, few will fight to earn the right to repeat on the pitch.
1 hard tackle and they realise it's a whole new ball game and the strop starts, I've not even included the partners and family dramatics, honestly it's worse than any soap
Facts are the club are starting to toughen up but it's taken too long and wasted too much money.

Means he's not moved into the current century yet I think. I remember my PE teacher kicking and punching me in the middle of the football field back in the eighties, maybe that's the approach he's wanting?

too scared to tell the wannabes exactly how it is for fear of upsetting everyone from his cat and hairdresser to his twatter followers.
A bit like woke folk telling Utd fans not to post links of the Royal Family and slavery in case others are offended
Others are allowed differing views, respectfully I say, it's a forum, deal with it

Nope, getting telt and getting a belt are entirely different. The latter is unacceptable

Off to the game now to support the lads, hoping we get stuck into these blue nose chunts- apologies if that offends anyone btw

It's people using the word woke to defend their unacceptable views that's the issue. I'm not suggesting that's what you're doing, but coaches have to work within acceptable guidelines because it's about respect and because it's the way you'd expect your own kids to be treated.
Enjoy the game though, and the term blue nose cunts is perfectly acceptable in the modern world 😋

So coaches haven't wanted to tell Logan Chalmers and Declan Glass to be more aggressive to avoid upsetting folk on twitter?
No idea what the royal family and slavery have to do with United's youth system but I'll leave you to it. I've not a clue what you are on about.

Priority position for me is RB/RWB Freeman is absolutely murder.

I feel we will have to see some departures before we see arrivals - this is where our director of football earns his money, moving on those surplus to requirements while ensuring we have suitable replacements lined up.

Not sure they’ll have careers here but i would’ve rather seen Chalmers and Glass come on yesterday at 2-0 down than Djoum.
