John Gibson was definitely an interested party. Pretty sure he made Thompson an offer a year before which Thompson turned down.

Out of interest, how many Scottish clubs have went under because of Covid? Did their wealthy owners all pay to keep them afloat? Or did it cost our owner much more because we have a bloated staff on exorbitant salaries???

I didn't want to actually name him, but, yes, i believe he was.

But of course Thompson wanted 'his inheritance' back, despite never putting a penny of his own money into the club (quite the opposite actually).

No.

You questioned that there were even other potential buyers at all.

I have provided you with evidence from the Horses mouth (Utd's Chairman at the time) and you have now switched to some kind of childish stance of 'oh people don't believe Tony Asghar, so i won't believe Mike Martin'. For no other reason than you don't want to back down from your false narrative that the Ogren's 'saved' Utd.

As for your last point that i would want any or all of the other potential buyers out by now also. Pure make belief stuff.

I didn't even say i wanted the Ogren's 'out'. I said i would like them to be held accountable and not be faceless towards the support when the club is going through times of strife (they are afterall, happy to do interviews etc when the club is doing well). The club needs strong leadership right  now and needs it's leader to be seen to want to be present.

I said I'd yet to hear who they were, those were my actual words yes? I still don't know who they were.

At which point was my post childish? If anyone is having a hissy fit here it's you mate. My point was perfectly valid.

Whether you like it or not, Ogrens money got us out of the championship and kept us afloat throughout covid. I'd pretty much say that saved us from going under. But you just carry on with your agenda though.

Oh and on the Mike Martin thing, I've no doubt you believe everything he had to say but that doesn't mean everyone has to take his words as gospel whilst dismissing everything the club comes out with now as bullshit.

I need to remember to stop interacting with you on here.

A completely pointless exercise.

A tad childish? But fill your boots mate 👍

Btw, you just interacted with me 😂

Re: Mark and Scott Ogren

Can’t remember the full story, but I know there were a couple of American guys who owned a load of shopping malls and other leisure facilities that were close to buying us at the same time as Ogren. Pretty sure Mike Martin kept changing the goalposts, and they were getting fucked off with him, then Ogren came in and that was that. There was more to the story but it was a while ago I was told it so I canna mind all the details.

The guys were seemingly mega wealthy, much much more so than Mark Ogren. This all came from someone I know who was on the board at the time.

In saying all that though, Ogden’s reign has been relatively successful and he’s an extremely decent and nice guy to talk to. But his devotion to Asghar could quickly be his undoing, both financially and from a trust point of view with the fans.

Even Asghar served his purpose for a while, but his ego has been left unchecked for too long, and is now massively detrimental to the club, a fresh reset is required now.

Ocean. From memory, we were slightly worse off. Weren't we paying a Premier wage bill on championship income? And without the income from fans, I guess this stretched us further than most who's wage bill probably aligned a lot closer to the league they were in?

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
