Line up and predictions.
Same starting line up as Thursday for me with the exception of young Sheep if the Aussie has his work permit sorted.
Most of the crowd will still be hoarse from last night but hopefully we will have plenty to cheer.
2-1 for me with Fletcher and Levitt on the scoresheet.

I'd move Freeman to right back (for the Aussie), play Smith as CDM, bench Harkes and move Sibbald and Levitt forward a little.

Harkes will be suspended anyway and we are struggling for a left back too. I'd heard wrong earlier in the week about Behich and we are still waiting on his work permit plus McMann is an injury doubt.

I thought Freeman done well in the second half but struggled in the first half albeit I was in the Dode.
Good point about Harkes ADS I would start with Jamie McGrath.

I think we probably will mate.

Graham in for Mulgrew? Can he handle three games in a week? That Livi new CF looks a handle and maybe Graham’s physicality would be better suited.

McGrath in for Harkes, Behich in for Freeman if his permit is sorted.
It's 100% a game we should be looking to win and we have a very decent team in the making, but they played a very decent outfit on Thursday in a demanding match.
A bit of patience and and calmness from the stands please.

Can see the sense in resting Mulgrew for Graham.
Maybe Watt too, for Niskanen or Middleton LW. If Harkes misses this game a straight swap for McGrath.
Wouldn't drop or rest anyone else. All too important to us and Livi are a good side.
Obviously if we are in a strong position in the match then get Levitt, McGrath or Fletcher off asap. But that's a big IF.

I'd settle for a scrappy 1-0 win ( Ryan header ) as I know it's only a couple of games in but with the results yesterday it's important we don't get left behind.

I was thinking the same thing as canadian arab, rest 3-4 top players who can make a difference to us in Amsterdam. Mulgrew, Levitt, Fletcher are the obvious ones.
If the replacements aren't up to it, then it's a lesson learnt.

Nobody needs a rest in August. Get the best possible team on the park today.
Martingale would love to see us rest a few and use it in his team talk about UTD taking Livi for granted.
We are not good enough for 3pts without all our best players on the park.

With great respect, I could not disagree more.

We already know they aint up to it. That's the problem (bar Graham).
Resting all our top players would be as good as tossing away a point or three imo.

I’m pretty sure Wee Jim wouldn’t play a weekend team . The fans who turn up today deserve a performance just as much as the ones who turned up on Thursday IMHO.

Just read the comments by Hibs manager Lee that the ball was only in play for 41 minutes when they played St Johnstone last weekend and if that is anywhere near the average then that should put the giving the players a rest and can't play 3 games in a week debate to rest?

Not sure resting is the correct term to use, but we certainly don't need any of our best players picking up an injury before Thursday......

Maybe folk might stop thinking our recruitment is anywhere near complete if we are going to compete in the top half of this league.

Jack Ross looked perplexed on the sideline. Might well see more movement soon to add depth.

Tbh it was the worst game to get after Thursday. However it doesn't excuse us playing into their hands with a lack of movement and leaving our defenders to be the ones starting attacks. The biggest attacking problem we have however is the two full backs are absolutely dreadful footballers. Everything we did 1st half broke down when Smith got the ball then it was similar with McMann in a fair chunk of the second half, especially flogging the goal after an error strewn 5 mins after half time. The Aussie boy, Freeman and Mulgrew hopefully on Thursday night. Levitt was pish as well today, looked tired/disinterested after Thursday. Manager should have hooked him and not Sibbald or put Meekison on for him instead. Wee Cudjoe was excellent simply because he is brave and instinctive. Too many of our players are shit scared to try anything, even an early pass.

Thought Ross stood up well against their big centre forward and Mathew was good when he came on but when we have our two supposedly creative players looking for the ball in our own half with there backs to the Livi goal we are always going to struggle and agree our full backs were not good today.

4 players were used in the wide areas today.
Middleton, Watt & Niskassen were completely ineffective. Only Cudjoe looked to have the ability to go past a man.
Both full backs are very ordinary players at best.
Hopefully we can add a bit of pace and power before the window shuts or we could well end up in the bottom 6.

Well I don't know what it looked like from where you were all sitting, but from my vantage point, that was phucking grim, made all the moreso by the Grim Reaper refereeing the match.

I agree with Still Living above, only Cudjoe had any impact on the match.
We were overrun and outworked in the middle of the park. Nowhere near good enough.
Thought the big lad upfront was decent for Livi.
For us though we really need to replace Butcher and quickly, I sit down the front of the Dode and we were so quiet and nobody in the refs ear. Too many won't put in a tackle or do the dirty stuff that you require to compete with teams like Livi.
On another note regarding Niskanen, I don't see anything in that lad that makes me think he can add anything to a game. Shites it when the balls in the air, shocker of a first touch, and couldn't cross the street.
