Yeah, I'd hoped the trip to Spain might see a couple of new signings join up with the squad but hey ho. Hopefully next week sees a bit of movement inwards...

Last week people slapping Tony on the back, this week back to slagging him off. Why are some folk so desperate just to get bodies in when it's clear that more work goes into getting quality. I could not name one player that's signed for Motherwell, saints, County or any other of the teams tbh because I've never heard of any of them

I for one certainly wasn't slapping him on the back. 

But come on ADS, it's not hard to see why some folk are desperate to get bodies in asap, because we are no stronger than we were at the seasons end

And in some departments weaker (Goal Keeper, Defensive).

When you sign Levitt and Fletcher, folk (including me) will give you praise.

When you are 14 days from the start of the season and we have only brought in 3 players and shipped plenty out the door, then folk (including me) will quite rightly be concerned at the lack of depth & quality.

This is JRs 4 week in the hotseat and he's already pointed out that it's threadbare, we have a euro tie in a fortnight Ffs.

The head of recruitment should be working OT getting folk in the door, not abroad with the squad when there is serious graft to be done.

Not a lot, that's one of my concerns. You didn't need to be Pep to notice the lack of depth and quality in the squad last season and currently it's threadbare again albeit we have shipped some deadwood out the door. Hopefully we recruit better and soon.

Secondly,  if there is a large amount if work to be done I'm in my office. I am hoping he does not repeat the recruitment he done during his first transfer window where he did sign a Barrowford of shite players.

We all knew months ago the importance and the scale of work required this window and getting guys in the door and gelled with the squad was key.

I have no doubt that we will recruit but just wanted them in the door and mixing with their teammates with plenty of time before the season starts. I am sure you want the same.

We need another keeper, cover for Center back, 2 CM, 1 winger and possibly another striker.

His first window for us was Jan 2019 and it was a pretty good window was it not?

Looks like big Tony's 1 week grace period is over and it's back to the normal abuse.
I'm pretty sure his phone will work in Spain and he will still be able to his job.
I'm sure RJ &TA are doing all they can to improve the squad, although I know some people find it reduces their stress levels to get angry and lash out.
