Sounds like the polar opposite of a keeper who's happy to get splinters in his arse. Definitely worth a look imo, strong rumour on mad that he's our number 1 keeper target too.

Seeing some chat linking us with McGinn from Hibs - always thought he was a decent, steady player but is he any better than Smith or Freeman? Not for me.

JR has signed him twice i think (St.Mirren and Hibs).

McGinn has been playing on the right of a back 3 for Hibs mostly this season. Decent player but right back isnt a position I feel we are desperate for additions.

Think with Sporle away left sided cover would be more of a priority of one of the younger players isnt ready to step up

Laughable if we sign Paul McGinn, would take John though

It does seem a totally unecessary signing on the face of it.
Edit - He's signed for 'Well. That's that one put to bed quickly.

Seen it mentioned that according to someone on a Hibs forum that United have been in talks with Christian Doidge and a fee with Hibs us apparently close to being agreed.
Guess only time will tell if true.

He is still contracted to Hibs for two years, so wouldn't come cheap.
Considering he is just back from a bad injury that had him out for months, i'm not sure i feel totally comfortable with Utd shelling out 6 figures on him. Though maybe offering them Butcher could take the fee down a bit (if they'd even take him).
Surely this tie-up with Fulham should bear some fruit for us, recruitment wise? Or else, what is the point of it?

Tony very confident we will receive compensation from Hearts for Neilson. Wil likely go to a tribunal.

Would be happy with this if it wasn’t too high a fee. He’s a big battering ram and with service will score goals.

Agreed, we've needed a focal point/outball for years.

We’re guaranteed at least 470K from uefa for the 3rd UCL round and 1.8 million from the league for 4th last year so what ever Aberdeen do i’d expect us to match them, this would be a real signing of intent.
Are you just back from North Korea
They are minted now
It’s 4 million they got not 400 million ffs.
We cany match them but can offer European football and a manager who wears shorts at the press conference, 3rd singing already

Highlights very starkly what we all already knew.
We got lucky in it having no relationship to stat that mattered in May.
Let's no ride our luck again TA

It’s still 5/6 we need in. And they really must be ‘starters’

Been the worst Summer for signings (or even rumours) that i can ever remember being a Utd fan of nearly 40 years. And that's saying something.
As things stand we have to replace the entire midfield of Harkes, Butcher, McDonald and Levitt.
We don't have a Goalkeeper on the books who has played even 1 minute of football for the club.
We have no new attacking players in at all.
And we are one (versatile) Defender down in Lewis Neilson. Two if you include Calum Butcher.
We need about 6-8 signings in and we need them asap to give these players time to adjust to the club, so we can hit the ground running when the season starts.
Mr Asghar. Time to deliver.

Courier saying we are moving for Christian Doidge. Hopefully get him in on a free.
