Getting revealed on Monday, is the word on the street.
Maybe even a teaser tonight or tomorrow.

Careful. You'll have as much inside info as always united soon 🤪 not sure what a new badge will achieve but I guess it is slightly dated now.

Is there any reason for the change of the club crest?
I seem to recall there was talk of the Lord Lyon of Scotland going after clubs crests over some outdated Heraldry law on crests and badges.
Is it anything to with that or just a case of modernising the badge.

From what i was told there are no drastic changes, more subtle one's.
I think it might be to tie in with Utd's 100 year anniversary in 2023.
But i could be wrong.

Our badge is a bit 1970's

United are 100 years old next year, guessing it’s for that?

Seriously, what a lot of pish. We’re becoming a joke club under these clowns. We’re as bad as the Dee. Exactly what market is going to be more impressed with that badge.

Are you seriously getting that annoyed about a badge?

Yip - total waste of money. We've got so much to spare too. The justifications produced are just nonsense too.

Great badge, although it'll probably mainly appeal to design pedants like myself! The old badge was dated, and a refresh is a positive thing.
The noise on social media is extremely predictable, but of course fans are entitled to express that view. I'm sure this will have no impact on the playing/managerial budget.

if that is the only part of the rebranding then might be under 5 figures. If there is any more to it then will be comfortably into 5 figures. Your certainly talking tens of season tickets.

But why do you care? Clubs (and businesses in general) need to keep their brand and marketing up to date. Ours was nearly 30 years old. An upgrade was surely welcome?

I honestly think the badge now looks worse.
Absolutely hate the new font. Looks cheap and shoddy.
Was zero need to change the badge. It was perfectly fine the way it was.

Lars...
Personally, I'm a bit non plused. No other fan, bar united is going to notice the changes.
I fail to see how it's going to improve our marketability.
I'm not generally negative about united - I just don't get how such a minor change will make such a big difference.

Simply, it is money-wasted that I very much doubt we will recoup through any sort of enhanced marketability. I'm all for keeping things up to date, but once again, it's the emperor's new clothes with this bunch. This will in no way reverse the damage that a bigger betting company logo on our shirt will do. The explanation of the changes just shows these boys are miles off what your average fan wants from its club. I'm all for freshening things up and marketing is a big part of that, but I just don't see this one I'm afraid.

If the club had ran a survey last season, of things that fans want to see improved, would anyone have put the clubs badge in the top 10 of their list?

The new design is part of a whole rebranding.
Community Trust, Womens team, hospitality etc, the whole lot.

Sounds expensive then and would question if now is really the time. The badge changes look so minimal that you have to question the value of them.

These companies are bought off with hospo lounges etc.

What Finn said: "Emperor's new clothes."
Exacto.
Waste of money, looks garbage.
Will cost another load of money to change it in 5 years time.
.... sounds like government really.
Grumble grumble ..
