Let's get these in before a ball is kicked. Purely based on where every squad is right now, Saturday 31st July 2021 (1st game of the season). I have the absolute FEAR about this season. Unless we sign 3 or 4 first team ready players i cannot see how we can possibly stay away from the lower echelons of the table. Our lack of goals was a major concern last season and we have (unbelievably) not addressed it in time for the new season. In fact we are in a weaker position now. It's all very well people saying the fans have to 'back' Thomas Courts. They will, instinctively. Most importantly right now, the Board of Dundee Utd have to back him in the transfer market. And very soon.
1) The Rangers
2) Celtic
3) Hibs
4) Aberdeen
5) Hearts
6) St. Johnstone
7) Motherwell
8) Dundee
9) St.Mirren
10) Dundee Utd
11) Ross County
12) Livingston
Edit - Actually, let's look at these predictions again on Hogmanay 2021. See if we stick by them or massively want to change them. I really hope i look at mine and want to change them (for the better).
Just a bit of fun. So, don't take it too seriously.

Is the SPFL the most predictable league in Europe?
Almost everyone will have 1 Rangers 2 Celtic. 36 yrs and counting without an non Old Firm winner. Will that ever change? How much longer will the fans put up with it?

Delighted that I was wrong in my final league table and of Tams appointment as manager.
Also it looks like I was the only one to predict that the Dees would be relegated (again).

Just goes to show the Board might actually know what they're doing, eh.

I like a debate as much as anybody but you are just becoming a boring troll now.
Think up some new banter

The important word here is 'might'. There were very fine lines between us being an also ran in the bottom half and finishing 4th. That said, that is to be celebrated.
However, the most important task of the Board is to show that the club is capable of sustainable commercial and financial growth to match the aims of its owner whilst ensuring a competitive team on the park. That won't be achieved by luck and good fortune. I've seen nothing yet to evidence that the Board 'might' know what they are doing on that, their most important, front.

I didn’t post, but, in all honesty I expected us to finish in the bottom 2.
I didn’t like the Courts appointment. I thought it was the cheap option. I was completely wrong. It’s very easy to get into a fixed mindset about something when you don’t trust the people in power. I still don’t buy into the “philosophy” but I think what Courts achieved this season was monumental. I think praise also has to go to Asghar for seeing the potential in him.
