Hibs V's Utd - Saturday 2nd April

Ian Harkes and Dylan Levitt both injury doubts due to injury and illness respectively.

Ross Graham scored on his Scotland U21 debut earlier today, amidst terrible conditions in Kazahkstan, but thankfully seems to have came through the 90 minutes unscathed.

Ilmari Niskanen was an unused substitute for Finland earlier today in their 0-2 home defeat to Slovakia.

Looking at a training video Utd released earlier today, Maxime Biamou is back in first team training.

We'll win and win comfortably. What a superb connection we currently have between head coach, players and fans.

Levitt expected to be ok for Saturday (Courts in the courier).

I think we won't lose and might pull off a win.  Comfortably not so sure.  There is a connection but I wouldn't call it superb.  A couple of poor results and the head of Courts will be called for again and this is despite the connection between fans and club management being strained at best (albeit the season ticket offer seems very good).  Without doubt however, our fans really are amongst the best.  A fantastic support.  If we got a team on the park that were their equal we would be back to where we belong.

Re: Hibs V's Utd - Saturday 2nd April

Would a draw be enough for top six? More due to the fact we stop a rival winning rather than us gaining a point. Two draws and I reckon that should be enough to squeak through to the top six.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

Re: Hibs V's Utd - Saturday 2nd April

Usual stuff from us, plenty of effort but nothing up front. Played not to get beat and that what we got however a point at Easter Road is always decent.

Good point which should be good enough for top six barring some crazy set of results next Saturday.

First time I've praised Tam all season but he can have a cold can tonight and put his feet up, well done.

IMO it's a great achievement with such a limited bunch of players and the lack of options from the bench.

Recruitment needs to improve dramatically as I doubt the league will be so poor next season.

What is wrong with Butch, anyone know?

Hopefully him and Harkes are back in for the Derby next Saturday, as it just wasn't happening in the middle of the park today.

Without wishing to be nasty or wish any type of injury on a Utd player, if McNulty's out now for next week and beyond, it may actually be a good thing.

As i reckon his weekly selection is just holding back a young player getting a game.

Miller Thompson, Mathew Cudjoe, Craig Moore, Archie Meekison, Chris Mochrie, Darren Watson. Every time we've gave these lads a brief cameo in a Utd shirt they've done well for us. McNulty's injury may free up more game time for one of the above (i know Watson's currently on loan).

Re: Hibs V's Utd - Saturday 2nd April

We definitely struggled in the middle of the park, particularly in the 15mins of the 2nd half. Fair play to TC as he tried to remedy that by putting Smith in CM. Smith is far better than Clark in that role.
Overall is was a a good point as this is far from a great UTD team.
Hopefully seal top 6 next which should be seen as a success for TC and his team of tries.

Re: Hibs V's Utd - Saturday 2nd April

I'm happy with the point as I would have taken it if offered before the game. Not much more to say on the performance as we've been saying the same about 90 % of the games this season. Good  to see young Cudjoe come on. Sets us up nicely for the Derby and top 6.

Re: Hibs V's Utd - Saturday 2nd April

On edge for the whole of the 2nd half the way Hibs were bashing on.

Defending was enough to stave Hibs aff but let's be honest it was only a matter oe time.

Yeah up front, we dinna offer much but very chuft we the point there.

MOTM for me Tony Watt.

1 point against the Dee's next week will guarantee us top 6.

Lots of interesting rumours regarding Butcher's omission yesterday.

Definitely, best not to put it on a Forum as it's of a personal nature and possibly not even true.

But heard the same rumour from about 3 or 4 different people today. So, must be doing the round in Dundee.
