Livi Vs Utd - Wednesday 30/2/22 (7.45pm)

Utd haven't won at Almondvale since 2005. It is and always has been a bit of a bogey ground for us.

A huge game on Wednesday for both teams and 3 points for whichever side will be massive in their pursuit of a Top 6 spot with games running out before the split.

What team would you like to see?

one with attaching players on the pitch that has a go, no RB's in midfield

Butch in for Levitt (if he’s not fit).

A midfield of Butch, Mcdonald and Harkes isnt going to create much ?

I know that mate but let’s be honest, Courts settles for draws before the game and I don’t see this game being any different.

Re: Livi Vs Utd - Wednesday 30/2/22 (7.45pm)

Liam Smith in for Levitt , despite Mcdonald being fit to play, so we will have a midfield 3 of Harkes Butcher and Smith

They’re only available on Livi’s ticket portal according to United’s post.

Very disappointing when we’ve got Mochrie, Meekison and Akinola desperate for an opportunity in the midfield.

If true, exactly what Smith must be thinking.
If true, presumably Freeman in for Smith. That inspires confidence for Smith.
Great game v Huns,    70 mins of crap v Sheep.
Huns game as good as a win.
Injuries notwithstanding - you don't change a winning team, fitba 101.
Woops, forgot, 2022, that disnae apply anymore.

I don’t think McDonald has it in him (yet) to be playing on a Saturday then a Wednesday on plastic. Would like to see Akinola getting some significant game time now.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

Re: Livi Vs Utd - Wednesday 30/2/22 (7.45pm)

Despite the criticisms of TCs tactics a draw would be a good result tonight.
Unfortunately with our lack of attacking options we are far more likely to get that draw by trying to stifle Livingston.

TC lately has been playing not to lose rather then trying to win IMO

That is pretty much what I've just said.
The lack of attacking players, midfield and out wide makes it sadly the best forward ATM.

Re: Livi Vs Utd - Wednesday 30/2/22 (7.45pm)

I had a look at the league table and we're 5th, not 12th.
Yes it may or may not be a flattering 5th but would you rather be in McGhee's shoes?
Give Courts a break, constant sniping.

And if Liam Smith is somewhere about the midfield tonight give it a go, could be a stroke of genius.
Courts & Co are setting up the team to do well, they're not saboteurs are they?

Re: Livi Vs Utd - Wednesday 30/2/22 (7.45pm)

First half was awful and 2nd half slightly better when we went to a back four when McCann came on. Started playing a bit football when MacDonald came on but still lack any cutting edge upfront.

Re: Livi Vs Utd - Wednesday 30/2/22 (7.45pm)

Created nothing all night I’m afraid.

Courts should step down at the end of the season.  It’s not working.

Re: Livi Vs Utd - Wednesday 30/2/22 (7.45pm)

We are toothless up front borderline pathetic at times

Like playing with 9 men with Clark and mcnulty up front, pointless.

Re: Livi Vs Utd - Wednesday 30/2/22 (7.45pm)

12 pts clear of the bottom 2 with 9 games to go.
With what I have seen this year from UTD this season that's what we should be concerned about not the top 6.

Re: Livi Vs Utd - Wednesday 30/2/22 (7.45pm)

Be easy to say it's hard to believe we got beat from a team with about 1000 supporters, but honestly, Livi were the better side.

Our finishing is extremely poor. Our passing no much better. And our tactics - dinna ken what to think. And I've had idea what TC is thinking either.

Sick as phuck TBH.

MOTM for me Liam Smith.
