Biamou must be up there now as one of our worst ever signings. I previously compared it to the Osman Sow signing, but at least big Osman actually scored a goal in a Utd shirt.

As a fellow member of this Forum succinctly commented on his signing earlier on to me tonight 'we've basically got him fit for Cambridge and paid him whilst doing so'.

This is why when i hear Courts going on about not being 'rushed into signings' because him and the recruitment team are looking for the 'right type of people' etc etc i always take his words with a massive pinch of salt.

A bit OTT don't you think? We didn't spend a fortune to snap him up. It didn't work out for either party but he's only had a few minutes on the pitch so to say he's one of our worst ever signings is a bit much. We don't have any clue how much he was paid either but it certainly isn't up there in the Alex Mathie category

Don't think it's OTT.

We hardly ever score. We signed this boy to score goals. We've paid the boys wages for months and months and he hasn't even started ONE game.

A disastrous signing. One of our worst in recent years (and there's been a fair bit of competition).

Well you did say worst ever, not worst in recent years. But overall I still disagree it's as bad as all that. You can't pin all our woes on one guy who never even started a game. You don't have any idea how much he was paid either so it's hardly worth the over reaction in my opinion.

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 18th January

If he was paid even one pound then it’s a waste. He has contributed absolutely zero to the first team since October(?) and it’s nearly February. So four months of wages, even at 500 quid a week that’s near ten grand pished against the wall.

When performances on the park are abysmal everything starts to get criticised.
Biamou will go down as a waste of a signing but worse than Sneidjer, Lyng, Barton, Rabbitsch,Nicolls, Zwick..... not for me.

Maybe Biamou doesn't like it up here and is wanting to go back down south.   Maybe he's fell out with Courts or somebody else at the club and they just want rid now, who knows.  Even Sir Alex bought some right duffers in his time.  But aye, a total waste of time and money by the looks of it.

Don't know how they know - never given the boy a chance.

Whereas McNulty has been a rip roaring success. How can Biamou be any worse of a signing than no goals McNulty? We have had many far worse signings than Max who's only real crime seems to be getting injured and not getting any game time, oh and some probably made up rumours about fall outs and poor attitude.

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 18th January

Pretty clear that the iPad brigade didn't rate him.  Saw him come on at Tynecastle and we never changed anything about our shape/system to accommodate a totally different sort of striker.  He didn't do much in the short opportunity but as I say we never played in a manner to allow him to do so.  Strikes me that this was another panic buy from the DoE that hadn't actually been properly discussed with Courts and his iPad entourage.  I don't think we can blame the player on what little we know about him and it worries me that we don't seem to be able to change the system to suit the personnel.

Agreed.  Just saying that there could be something going on behind the scenes with him that we don't know about.

Did I say worse or worst? I said a waste. Doesn't matter who has decided or made decisions about him, at the end of the day he has contributed zero so that in my eyes is a waste of time and money.

Especially if you don't give them a chance or you never should have brought them in in the first place.  Interesting that a team good enough to beat Newcastle think he's good enough (apparently).  Newcastle would give us double figures.

My point was he's getting slated far more than someone like McNulty who has swallowed up a whole lot more cash than Biamou for an equally shite return

Not one person has slated his ability(as we've not had a chance to see it!!). Most seem to agree it's been a waste of time and money bringing him in.
