I think we're coming into a bad run now. 1 point from 6 and team selection has been erratic. I very much fear this game.

One thing I hope we all agree in is that Smith, Clark, Appere and Chalmers need dropped immediately. I also think Fuchs has been a bit basic recently.

So bring in Freeman, Biamou, Niskanen, Biamou and Darren Watson, then play ultra defensively and pray for a 0-0, as we are not scoring.

Bizarre post.  Anyone who suggests we bring in Darren Watson for Fuchs for a game at Tynecastle needs their head examined.  I would definitely be starting with Freeman, Niskanen and Fuchs.  I also think Biamou probably deserves a start ahead of Clark, but that said I see Souttar and Halkett having more of an issue with Clark's unorthodox approach than a still not match fit Biamou.  If we are going to try to play football with Levitt, Fuchs and Harkes/Glass in midfield then I think Clark still gets the nod for me.

Hearts are on a similar 'bad run'.  Although I don't see a hard won point against Motherwell and an unfortunate 1-0 reverse against a St johnstone side that we were generally well on top of as a reason to batten down the hatches just yet.

This is a put our best team out soak up some pressure and play like we did at Easter Road.  Do that and we'll leave with the points.

Not to mention the one about how he'd bite your hand off for tenth Place and cup quarter finals, both a step backwards from last season 🤣

Ref Saints game, don't know how much you can read into 3 changes and consequent totally disjointed all over the park 1st 45.  For me raised questions on Louis, Kerr Smith.   Chalmers, let him away wi it.  Fuchs, you'll never see make horrendous cockup like that again.

Bounce back.

Benji
Freeman  Edwards  Mulgrew  McMann
Fuchs Levitt Harkes
Pawlett  Niskanen
Clark

Game time for Biamou, Glass

(Hate to see you pessimistic AU)

Same team for me but wouldn’t argue if Biamou starts

Nah, I think he's a United fan.  I suspect a young lad still learning the football ropes.  Some of his comments are a bit naive but he doesn't appear to have the bitterness associated with following the dark blues.  Suspect he'll mature, but if he doesn't put up what he is thinking then it won't be challenged and he'll not learn...

Re: Hearts vs Utd - Saturday 6th November

Got a ticket for tomorrow, hoping its as good as my last game at Easter Road.  Play like we did then and we'll take all three points.  Hoping that the Jambos are in a false position - I am not convinced they are that good.

It would also be good to shut Neilson's moaning face and start getting his fans on his back again - won't take much.

Re: Hearts vs Utd - Saturday 6th November

I wouldnt be surprised to see a change of formation tomorrow.
Hearts pretty much overan our midfield at Tannadice, we might look to get an extra body in central midfield.

Re: Hearts vs Utd - Saturday 6th November

Time we seen if the Coventry fans were right to idolise Biamou.

Been here weeks now. We rarely score.

If he wasn't signed to score goals, what was he signed for?

Get him in the team fitting into a formation that best helps him get on the end of chances.

Re: Hearts vs Utd - Saturday 6th November

Lots of talk of Butcher back starting tomorrow.

A risk given he hasn't played in weeks.

But, they did do a number on us physically last time out, so i can kind of see the wisdom in it.

If Butcher is in, it must be a 4-2-3-1

I'd hazard a guess at.

...........................Siegrist......................
Freeman.....Edwards..Mulgrew...McMann
...................Butcher...Fuchs.......
..........Pawlett....Harkes...Niskanen....
............................Clark

Not saying that is the team i'd like to see btw. But think it might be that.

Seemingly still miles off the pace fitness wise.

Too much commotion

Go with 4-3-2-1 seeing it's getting near Xmas?

Re: Hearts vs Utd - Saturday 6th November

That was a bad ane. Hard fought gehm.

Herts goals
Gutted to lose the 1st goal. Thought Benji shoulda booted it instead oe diving doon to save the shot.

2nd was really due to a fau-pax beh no clearing it. Pawlett and Fuchs I think it was.

3rd. Poor defending for me.

Dinna Ken what the Ref booked Fuchs for. Didna even look like a free-kick to me.
We a clever finish gave them thir no. 4. P1sh.

B@stard oe a 5th goal to loss. We'd had it efter that.
----------------
Edwards goal. Think it came aff a Herts player, but what a belter !

Thought McMann was gonna haeder the ba when he took the volley fae the coarner. Ended up kicking the ba aff hes ane hand.

Brilliant finish fae Clark efter a great pass fae Pawlett and cross fae Freeman.

And the clatter on Harkes haed was atrocious IMO. But the Ref gave phuck-all.

What can ye say aboot Herts. Go as far as saying they're probly the best opposition Eh've seen us play this season.

MOTM for me. The Mighty Fin.

1 point from the last 9, big test for Tam and the players to turn this around and avoid us sliding down the table

I'm a pessimist. Utd wise.

But i am buoyed somewhat by just how many chances we have created in the past 2 games (defeats).

This team really, really needs a Striker. A goal scorer. I.e. someone to replace Shankland. We also need a ball carrying midfielder and competition at left back (Sporle = where is he?).

Other than that, i think we are in pretty good shape. But, obviously need to cut out the individual errors that have crept in the past 2/3 matches.

We badly missed Dylan Levitt today imo.

that's good to hear TEK, it's hard to tell from a distance when you only have results and very brief highlights to watch

Re: Hearts vs Utd - Saturday 6th November

There's nothing surer that this season is going to be an absolute roller coaster with as many lows as highs, it will not be plain sailing.

So let's not get too carried away with the successes, enjoy to the hilt, but be aware there's always going to be a disappointment round the corner.

It's a long, long campaign and if we end up with more wins than losses that'll do for me.

Loving it and missing next weekend's game already.

Re: Hearts vs Utd - Saturday 6th November

Benji's fuck up for that first goal set the tone for the rest of the game, that's two goals he's flogged in the last three games now.

Thon challenge from Souttar on Harkes was a disgrace, canna stand the cunt.

Also 2 in 2 games that fuchs hasn't looked too clever.

Let's hope it's a passing phase as they've both been really solid for us
