£30 for adults, £16 for concessions.
Holy fuck. Disgrace. That'll end up putting off boys. Slighly lower pricing would have led to a sell out. We'll end up losing money. Spoke to a few Dee's today who said there was no way they'd be paying that given that they have kids as well.
Of course this will mean we'll get stung for the same prices for the game at Dens.

Ever increases the wisdom & value of a season ticket

Thing is for some people a season ticket is just not an option. Pricing out the casual fan can have the knock-on effect of losing a generation of their kids.

It's a terrible price, and once again demonstrates that's fans aren't much more than a commodity to be monitised.
Hopefully these prices aren't here to stay, as moving forward it'll really impact both home and away crowds if we're charging £28/£30 for games in the colder months.
I think this is probably the inevitable outcome of the non-early bird season ticket being made artificially expensive to devalue the season ticket credits from last season. By making it so high, United have pushed themselves into a corner and need it make PATG even higher this season.
Overall its a shabby way to treat hard working fans. The product on offer doesn't come close to meeting the price. Some people can and will continue to pay whatever price is charged, but plenty will just drift away.

As will the prices at the Edinburgh & Glasgow derbies.
Nobody likes when prices go up it's always been that way, I remember thinking it was a bit steep to charge £1 to get in.
It's even £20 to watch the Stars play this season.

They will indeed, and its borderline price fixing. Dundee will say its "reciprocal", but it only punishes both sets of fans, not the executives who actually set the prices and would never pay to get in themselves.

got to wonder how many folk will have found better uses for £30 over the last 18 months...

Everyone has moaned about recruitment and we only sell 4-5k season tickets. These prices are just a sign of the times, If we didn't sign these 5 internationalists there would have been mayhem. As usual, the club get the brunt of the abuse but they are just adjusting to the times.

Over the past year the fans have invested over a quarter of a million pounds into the club, that is before a season ticket is bought or someone has PATG
Don't be taken in with "five internationals"
Having an international cap doesn't mean a lot nowadays.

The fans putting dough in is phenomenal but 250k is nothing in the grand scheme of things. To berate the club for charging 30 quid for a derby then moaning about recruitment doesn't add up.

I was meaning having an international cap doesn't make you international class, our International board at Tannadice goes to show that.

But of no use to someone who quite possibly lives in the Isle of man 😉

£30 for a derby ticket is a stroke of genius by United. It has totally deflected focus away from the lack of any striking options.

It's a ridiculous price for a game on television at Noon.
Saddens me that the club are so out of touch with the reality of a great many peoples financial situation in these times.
It doesn't seem long ago at all that our support were bemoaning patg prices reaching the £20 mark.
These prices are definitely out-stripping the rates of inflation and it stinks. I'd even go so far to say that it's profiteering, given many just want to see their team post-lockdown.

While i fully agree that the prices are way to high, most people can afford £30 for a ticket and if they chose not to out of principle then they are more than entitled to do so.....As are the club entitled to charge what they feel is the right price to maximize any profit opportunity.....

Its a generalisation to say most people can afford £30, and as others have said the issue is also the concession prices. An adult two kids is £62. Not everyone can afford that for a football match.
The club are indeed "entitled" to charge whatever that want to maximise profits, but once again it shows exactly what United supporters are to the board - a commodity to be monetised so as to increase short term cashflow, and not much else. I accepted that a long time ago and it doesn't stop my enjoyment of supporting the team, but the fans loyalty towards the club is absolutely one way.
Offline
My point was more that if you can afford £25 then you can afford £30, you may choose not to pay that but a £5 increase is affordable. As for fans being a commodity, i think we all accepted that a long time ago......
