Who knew humble pie would taste so good! Well done Tam and the players. Genuinely thought that result was beyond us.
I even thought his interview was balanced and lacking in buzzwords.
Agreed. Lazarean recovery (he could have used that one) from last week.

Brilliant result - well done courts for getting a response. Didn't see the game at all - anybody able to say how we played? Looking at the stats, I'm guessing set uo to defend and hit them on the counter?
1 result (albeit a cracker) does not make him Pep but you need to start somewhere to begin to win folk over and that's as good a start as any. Let's see where we go from here - fingers crossed that big Tony has pulled off a masterstroke by taking what is a huge gamble

As Mr Courts said in his Interview the best managers are calm and measured, I think the same could be said about supporters.
Just as last week's disappointing result and performance did not make TC a clueless buffoon today's performance does not make him a managerial genius.
On to Ayr.

Apparently Shankland said his goodbyes to the players and staff after the game.

Aye hip injury my arse 😉
There is life after Lawrence though, we showed that today. Although we need to get his replacement in sharpish

And here is the beauty of the fan forums. The boys that have been in absolute dire straights for weeks claiming that we’re on a hiding to nothing and it’s doom and gloom are delighted to eat humble pie.
We’re not as bad as we were last week. We’re not as good as we were this week let’s just see how we go and take it from there rather than be constantly fatalistic.
Credit to Tam for the shift to 4-3-3 and credit to the CH pairing and Robson.

Great result and performance today, credit to Tam as he's got the players fighting for the cause.
Robson, Edwards and Fuchs the stand outs.

Was delighted that Courts binned the 3 at the back with wing backs tactic and just went 4 at the back.
We looked so much more balanced and comfortable at the back today. No big gaps in defence either.
The Rangers having no shots on target says it all.

They had one on target but I don't think Benji was ever in danger of not saving it tbh.
Agree about the set up and Reynolds will need to settle for the bench for now based on that performance. Hopefully the signings happen early next week and we keep the good vibes going into the cup game next weekend

Forgot about Siegrist's save.
Still, to limit them to one shot from distance on target is not bad going. Sure they had a couple of near things, but you often need a wee bit of luck in getting a result against Rangers or Celtic and for once we carried a wee bit of luck in one of these games. Not that we didn't deserve it.
Agree about getting signings in next week and finally burying the Somerset hoodoo.
That would have the entire support delighted.

Better Still Mock, go to YouTube Fight:Kevin Tamati Greg Dowling.
That's the sort of ingins we need to dish out every week.
Anyhow, topic.
What Tam said "weird and wonderful game "
Great result, great game, thriller, immense.

The absolute beauty of football. In the space of two hours, girning how keech we are to total ecstacy. Probably the biggest release of energy at the final whistle for a long time. Relief, happy for Tam, delight for the boys there. Pure happiness for my boy watching it. Great texts winding up blue nose mates. Please keep that effort Tam. That's all we ask.

I think in any aspect of life, you need to have a flexible mindset. I recall back in 1995 I never imagined mobile phones would have any application beyond making calls. As far as I was concerned the screen was too small! I didn't make the same mistake with BTC.
Just because, I don't like the Sporting Director model (or the people involved), doesn't mean it can't be successful.
The need to be right about something is a disease.

Standard has now been set and we can’t allow it to dip. Well done to Tam and everyone involved today. Special mention for the fans. The first 5 minutes were vital and the fans responded to the magnificent effort of the players. The fans were brilliant all of the game.

Still delighted following yesterday but the issue now is that at the minute we’re a lot like Scotland. Absolutely capable of playing a role and doing a job to good effect. For example yesterday and Scotland at Wembley. The issue is taking a very pragmatic but effective performance and harnessing that into a completely different plan against teams that will have a completely different approach.
In many ways I’d be happier passing Motherwell off the pitch and winning 4-0 because that’s our rivals and that’s how we’ll be successful over the course of a season. That is the type of game where you can say that’s the standard set. That said, you need to be able to do the side of things we showed yesterday too because we will have potentially 8 games against OF this year.
So it’s over to the lads to see what else they can come away with when there’s more expectation on them to perform.

I wasn’t having a go at anyone. Definitely wasn’t the intention. Was just remembering the book thing (which I thought was silly)

I am interested, for the people who were there on Saturday, do you think having fans back at Tannadice was a factor?
I watched a replay and in the early stages, it looked like the crowd were cheering every united tackle, which lifted the united players and seemed to rattle the rangers boys.
