Well we go again Saturday up in Dingwall (weather permitting). No idea what line up he will go with in this one?
we desperately need 3 points in this game it is crucial

The critical question is ... whether to pay Ross County money to watch this or not. I will probably cave in, as usual.
At least we played better second half last night. Hope to phuk he sorts out that shambolic defence

............................:Siegrist
Neilson. Edwards. Reynolds
Smith. Fuchs. Butcher Pawlett. Sporle
Shankland. Clark
Neilson in because he knows he can pass into midfield. Probably the only CB we have capable of an accurate pass.
Pawlett in because Harkes is shite and he’s got a bit of creativity about him. Reynolds in at LCB And Sporle in front. Robson being targeted every game, especially for winning set pieces.
Mcnulty benched. We need to play him as a striker or not at all because he’s never a right winger. But shanks and Clark understand each other and scored loads of goals last season so let’s go back to what we know!

I would play Neilson alongside Edwards. Keep Reynolds away to fuck imo.
Cant see him dropping Harkes unfortunately.

My team for Saturday would be:
Benji
Smith Butcher Edwards Robson
Bolton Powers Fuchs Sporle
McNulty Shankland

Robson, Bolton and McNulty all need to be left on the bench on Saturday, preferably still there when the fucking bus leaves Dundee. Pawlett deserves a game based on last night too, although it was probably a flash in the pan and he will revert to type as usual. Very disillusioned at the moment, you can probably tell 🤔😒

Benji
Neilson Edwards butcher
Smith powers fuchs sporle
Pawlett
Shankland mcnulty
Would play Connolly if he’s back from Ireland

Seeing the team predictions on here, and come the actual selection an hour before kick off sums up the position we're in; just what exactly is our best team????
I look at all these selections and I see a problem in at least one position on every one. A Championship Team unfortunately.

I think you have Benji, Smith, Fuchs and Shankland all players that consistently show the abilities to be consistent, decent to good premiership players. They are being let down by
1) the quality of the players around them
2) the manager constantly changing the personnel and tactics
At least if we play the 352 we can play a player in every position that is natural to them.
When we got 4 at the back we shoehorn mcnulty outwide or we ask clark to drop into midfield and it just doesnt work.
If we are going to play a 4 then you have to use Bolton and Sporle out wide (Chalmers when back) which although effective in some games, will not work in others.

I have to say Shankland has been poor for a while now.

He certainly shouldnt be immune to criticism as I've said before. But the reality is he has shown he is a Premiership player quality wise and if we were able to get him more chances I'm sure he would have been into double figures by now. 3 of his 4 goals have been basically all down to him turning a half chance into a goal.

He has been dragged down massively due to the manager and very poor formation/selection and no service to him up top sadly.

Closer we get to a relegation fight, the less you'll see of Neilson. I'd play him too but Mellon wont trust him

I've changed the team I'd put out a hundred times now. Thankfully I'm no the manager.
We have to win, so 4 at the back makes sense, but we've lost 3 games playing 4 at the back (people said we were 3 at the back on Wednesday but I dont really think we were).
3 at the back might give us the platform to keep it tight, work into the game and go for it nearer the end. In those last 3 games we've lost first half goals and that is what has killed us. So maybe he'll go for keeping it tight until we figure out the game a bit more and then open up. Or maybe we nick a goal with the 3 at the back and see the game out.
Harkes and Clark need to be dropped. And maybe Robson on reflection, but Robson being included all depends on the formation we play tbh. Sporle should play 100% if we are using wing-backs. But I think if we go with a 4 then Robson will be LB.
Get someone beside Fuchs who can put their foot on the ball (Powers probably) and DONT FUCKING CONCEDE FROM A SET PIECE.
So the team I'm saying now on Friday morning is:
Siegrist
Butcher Edwards Reynolds (assuming Connolly still out - if not I'd have him in)
Smith Fuchs Powers Sporle
McNulty Shankland Appere
No doubt this will change again. Fuck knows what line-up we are going to see.

Fuchs a big injury doubt for tomorrow. Of course.

Lost in amongst the hysteria of Fuchs kicking the boy in the face on Wednesday night was how horrible Fuchs leg bent backwards when he did it. It looked absolutely awful. I honestly thought it looked like a career ender.
