No he proved after St Mirren he isn't ready.

Only chance of staying up is gettting rid of Mellon, we’ll leave it too late though.

Better tonight and yet Benji still saved us from a bit of a doo-ing.
Simply not good enough.

He HAS to go
This simply cannot go on

2nd half was better but really struggling to score.
Thought Fuchs was blowing out his arse last 15 or so and shpuld have changed it taken him and Harkes off

Canna understand the lack of substitutions. Does Mellon no any faith in his bench. I mean he had Appere there.
2nd half, we were the better side. A brah haeder fae Edwards. Eh thought that we might get something oot the gehm efter he scored. I mean, the Well were hardly getting the ba. We musta had twice the possession they had in the 2nd half. Just a pity we canna profit enough fae it.
This is'na looking good lads.
MOTM for me Fuchs.

Why didn’t he just go for it
Mellon confuses me every single game

His lack of faith in Appere is baffling.
When he came into the team recently i thought he done ok.

Micky talks sense but produces shite.
First 18 mins changes looked inspired.
One dead ball, the usual comedy we're a goal down.
Shanks gies Harkes a bit of a hospital pass. Powder Puff Harkes brushed aside Goal No 2.
No Benji, couldae been 4.
Robson, usual shite.
Second half looked better.
Pawlett good.
Edwards goal notwithstanding we make cardinal sin of high ball after high ball into tall timber defence.
Pussae seek o' Mellon saying "we'll look at the video"
If he comes back wi' that one after RC I'll be joining the what's Tommy Wright daen camp.
RC a 6 pointer.

Unfortunately the only reason we looked good second half was because Motherwell sat back and hit us on the break. They allowed us to have the ball and huff and puff and knew we wouldn’t create much. We’re the leagues joint lowest scorers for a f’kin reason.
It’s the same with Hibs and with St.Mirren. We looked better because we were behind and had to come out and have a go.
We MUST score first on Saturday or it’s curtains.
Onto tactics and stuff.
Straight away throwing 3 boys who have never played as a defensive 3 together, one of whoms a left back (and a recent target for long balls against us) and the others a centre mid the alarm bells were ringing right away. We looked poor defensively, the space between the centre halves was ridiculous. It was almost like a centre half and 2 fullbacks at times. It’s a bizarre one and stinks of desperation tbh.
The heatmap/pass map had Shankland around the centre circle and mcnulty averaging higher up the park AND more central. That’s a problem because he was deployed at RM. so that’s leaving smith and butcher exposed. And they got in there umpteen times. But McNulty is NEVER a RW. Mellon has to stop trying to shoehorn Shankland, Clark and McNulty into the same side.
Saturday is critical. We need to stop the freefall,

Not defending Mellon, but what's he supposed to say? We're shite and we know we are?
Not enjoyed much of the season so far at all, but this squad is deeply inadequate and he hasn't had much opportunity to change it.
I'm pretty sure he wants to add quality but hasn't been allowed. I think he'll be back off to the English lower leagues in the summer tbh.

Mate, I don't know what he's supposed to say I really don't, he does talk sense and he is a good talker but at the moment he's roling out tired out cliches week in week out.
Really I couldnae care less as long as we were getting results.
Online!
Whether I agree with it or not, I cant see a situation where Micky is sacked here. A lot of fans online calling for him to go. But I'll be pretty surprised if he is sacked to be honest. If we lose on Saturday then we are in a relegation fight, simple as that. But thankfully for us we are are still around the same points as St Johnstone, Killie and Motherwell and have a small cushion ahead of Ross County and Hamilton. So its not as bad a situation as some are making out (I'm not saying its not bad... it is), comments like "we are down" dont really mean anything when you are sitting 7th in the league. That is just people saying that so they can say I told you so if it does happen (in my opinion). None of us know how this is going to go.
There is no denying we are in a terrible run of form and belief. But the 2nd half last night was encouraging, even though Benji kept us in it, but when you are chasing a game, having a good goalie is a massive positive as he can pull off saves like he did last night and in Hibs away for example. If only Sporle's shot found the bottom corner, last night wouldnt have been such a disaster.
We are still in the same situation where a couple of wins before the split will see us sitting pretty well going into the bottom 6. We HAVE to get the first one of them on Saturday.
Most of us sat here at the start of the season and said "dont get relegated". Most United fans I speak to say the same. We'd all love a go at the top 6, but at the end of the day, in the strangest of seasons, DO NOT GET RELEGATED. The message still stands. We have to have the belief that we'll see our way out of this, no matter how hard it looks at the moment, but we are still in a strong position in terms of the points we have on board, but keep losing games and that will change, very quickly.

There is no way he will be sacked. Ross County will beat us up there on Saturday and reduce the gap between us to 2 points on the same amount of games! We really need Motherwell, St Johnstone Killie to lose at the weekend and us to win which sadly i really cant see happening.
Thanks LEK, a voice of reason.
Dismal Jimmies take note.
Saw enough in the 2nd half (& the first 15 mins) to tell me we'll be ok.
Having said that, every game is a cup final.
Over to you players...
Agree with LEK & Smeddum.
We're in a dire run of form and we definitely need to look over our shoulders BUT we've got a decent squad and I think we will finish above 10th

Motherwell play Celtic away, st Johnstone play Livi away and Killie are away to St Mirren.

These results are almost more important than our result on Saturday! Fucking really hope they all lose. Hamilton also have Rangers so if football is kind to us, every one of the teams around us lose at the weekend. We will see.
