Dundee have recalled a couple of their youngsters that were on loan in league 1. I wonder if we will do the same?

Back into the squad. Not the worst thing... Or would the club try to get them loaned to the Championship instead?

Good news about Clark.  Seems Freeman has returned to United, imagine the rest will as well.

Where you seeing that they’ve returned?

I think it's safe to presume that all loanees are back. There's literally no reason for them to stay at whichever club they are at. Most of them probably train with United for most of the week anyway. The difference is obviously their availability for first team games.

Freeman certainly has. Confirmed by Jimmy Mac. As for the rest, have only seen one or two comments on other forums.

As a side note... Tek I have to applaud you for how balanced this forum is.

With it being January window etc (and no much going on in general) I have ventured to read other Utd forums.

Here are my thoughts:

EastFootball: fucking hell. A collection of some of the negative, moany chunts I've ever laid my eyes on. One boy clearly furious that we've given Clark a new deal. Lyle his name was i think. Also ripping into young Neilson like you wouldnt believe

United Mad: plenty activity on there but it seems to just end up in boys reciting made up poems, posting youtube videos of shite and the constant stream of Dees putting their tuppence-worth in on Utd related topics.

Pie and Bovril: clearly the hipster place to be. A forum that seems to be full of people who have no inside knowledge of anything going on, but use the forum to stir up some of the most bullshit rumours imaginable just for a laugh.

All 3 terrible.

I started dipping back into Eastfootball because it was so quiet on here.  There are a few characters on EF who are clearly playing to the crowd but all in not a bad bunch.  Mad is in my view exactly that.  Pie and Bovril is for folk who can thole a View from the Terrace, so you are right hipster nonsense.

Anyway this is the best of the bunch for sensible conversation.  It's a pity the music threads have gone quiet, especially the greatest albums one - missing that...

Anyone heard any more about Liam Smith? Rumours of Hibs being interested (Jack Ross was his manager at St Mirren so it makes sense). I'd like to see him stay, but with Freeman back, I wonder if we'll look to give him a chance too.

East football is incredible. You wonder why half of them actually bother with United. 

Liam Smith well worth keeping. Has his ups and downs but is flexible enough to be RB and RWB and in this current climate, I think we'd struggle to improve on him. 

Would be good to get a few players in to improve midfield couple of players who hate losing would vastly improve team, to many players now more bothered about how many followers they have on social media

EF has its place, I actually find it very enjoyable, the guys there have done a lot for the club down the years.

A member started United for kids and it's still running today.
They have had numerous hospitality days.
They sponsor a player normally and this year they sponsor Micky Mellon.

It's not for everyone but those who don't like it could always simply not log in, no need to take cheap shots at them.

It was just a bit of an observation on my part tbh mate. No harm intended but I stand by my comments as its my own opinion. Thats the point of a fans forum I guess. It was just the feelings I got from skimming through some of the threads on there. Have never posted in there or anything and I'm sure plenty of the boys that do are very nice guys and good Arabs. But the minority that were posting at the time I clicked onto the forum were talking some serious shite. In my opinion 

Anyway I probably regret it slightly now as it wasnt my intention to derail a transfer thread or to have a go at anyone. It was more to doff my cap to the good discussion I feel is had on this board.
