Another reason for not looking forward to the festive period this year -
Sun Dec 13 The Rangers (H)
Sat Dec 19 Hibs (A)
Wed Dec 23 Killie (H)
Sat Dec 26 M'well (H)
Wed Dec 30 Celtic (A)
Sat Jan 2 Aberdeen (A)
If we're still top six after that lot I might just pop the champagne.

Is this not the reason that we want to be in the top league in the first place? Or is a cold wet wintry visit to Arbroath preferable? 😂
I get the point though, tough fixtures indeed. But if we can gather a few points before then, hopefully we can at least approach the games with a bit of hope.

Had quite forgotten our Xmas fixtures were quite so tough. Hard to see many points in amongst that lot.
November is a big month for us where we must try and grind out as many wins as we possibly can. A few 'six pointers' in there too.
November fixtures -
St.Mirren (A) league
St.Johnstone (A) betfred
Hamilton (H) league
and then 1st week in December.
Livi (A) league
We should be attempting to win all of these.

Both of the old firm will be difficult but for the other four we are capable of picking up points.
motherwell- already beat them.
hibs- just got beat of a championship side
aberdeen-already took points off them
kilmarnock- that’s a game where Melons team talk will be pretty easy as we have a point to prove against them.
The sad thing from seeing that fixture list as that we will be at none of them, the two either side of Christmas and Aberdeen away😒

This tricky period of games was always going to come around - that's the nature of the Premiership.
If we get 6 points against St Mirren, Haccies it gives these fixtures a whole different perspective ie it'll further ease pressure and cement mid table position.
We picked up 4 points in these 6 fixtures including a horsing fae Killie - isnae gonnae happen again.
Players coming in including Liam Smith who was out injured for these games should improve on Saturday's solid performance.
We can beat Killie M'well, draw v Hibees, Sheep = 8 points.
Deduct one or two for overconfidence and we remain solid midtable.
One or two horsings for the others a bonus, goal diff at seasons end worth a point.

All these games start 0-0 do they not? We have shown that we can defend/ride our luck so I don't think this is unrealistic...
Sun Dec 13 The Rangers (H) - difficult, but it would be very nice to take a couple of points off this lot. 1-1
Sat Dec 19 Hibs (A) - Just play like we did last season - worked for Hearts. 0-0
Wed Dec 23 Killie (H) - due to make up for Rugby Park 2-0
Sat Dec 26 M'well (H) - Think they are actually better than us, but home game and currently have the bragging rights 1-0
Wed Dec 30 Celtic (A) - They are poor just now, but won't be by then. Damage limitation 2-0
Sat Jan 2 Aberdeen (A - doable, but take a draw 1-1
So 9 points definitely possible and that is what we should be measuring our progress against.
