If anyone had any doubts about the feeble management of Scottish football by the SPFL/SFA they must have been dispelled by their Coronavirus Joint Response Group deciding the best way to deal with the major clubs and their players ignoring guidelines is to stop the likes of Forfar, Queen of the South and Edinburgh City training until at least 24th August.

Spineless cunts.

I don't think any of those clubs will be able to afford to start training too early in any case. Probably only Hearts going to be affected by it tbh, which is perfectly OK with me.

The article does also state that any sanctions imposed will encompass the recent breaches so they won't be unpunished. Of course I have no idea what kind of sanctions though.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

To put it in perspective, we started training in the middle of June did we not? Roughly 6/7 weeks before the season kicked off on 1st August.
The lower league seasons don't start until the 17th of October so still ample time for the clubs you mentioned.

We'll see: I'm thinking the players might face penalties, but not the clubs, and certainly not Sevco, who appear to have been forgotten as the only club which has broken the guidelines. Hearts have been back officially this week, and no matter what has gone before, this is unfair to them, and other clubs....... but not to the three clubs who have been discovered to have caused issues.

That's true, but some clubs local to me have been doing loose club based training already, and that will have to stop. The Coronavirus Joint Response Group are acting reactively, responding rather than being prepared and having steps in place prior to the clubs/players ignoring safety concerns.

I'll agree the lower league clubs look to have plenty time to prepare (mind it's the 6th they start), but players who won't have seen action for 7 months, perhaps especially part time boys, would probably benefit from the informal measures some smaller clubs have attempted to put in place, and that's now disrupted, through no fault of these clubs and players.

Finally the start to United's season has been badly broken up by both the manager moving and the court business, not our doing. This is, on different scales, similar for the lower league clubs.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

So looking like St Mirren on 19th September we will be allowed into Tannadice.

Be interesting to read the ins and outs for this in full.

It's important to fill in the survey the club are asking season ticket holder to complete.

The total attendance and seating arrangements in will depend on "social bubbles" , that may be allowed to sit together so they need this information from fans ASAP.

United, "From discussions thus far, it may be possible for supporters to sit within what is known as a ‘social bubble’ (family/friend from one other household) without the need for social distancing but this is subject to change. We intend to provide further clarification online as soon as the guidance is confirmed by our governing bodies."

If you have a season card you should have had an email with a link to the questionnaire.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

I cant see all season ticket holders being able to get into that first game. I'm sure I read rumours of 700 fans being allowed in for the first round of games, but that might have been for the test events.

Sure that was test events im sure.

Its 25/30% of the stadium capacity which that will be allowed in apparently.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

This was a point of discussion on Tekel Towers during the lockdoon.

This was what I thought was gonna happen. Everybody getting their turn to get in to live games.

You 1 week. The boyo next to you the following week. But the 'social bubble' is an improvement. Better than eff all I suppose. Until this coronapish is over we.

How much would I love Ms Sturgeon to take to the podium today to say 'Thank you for attending the latest update on the Coronapish'.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

Thank goodness we'll be playing a match with a crowd of some sort, on September 12th. The bad news is it's at Ibrox.

If I didn't know you better Pat, I'd be thinking you were hinting this was some kinda stitch-up.

Haha! You understand that I reckon some teams are given advantages by the authorities which are denied others ☺

But here's an issue I've not seen mentioned so far by the MSM: if it's unlikely that away supporters will be allowed into grounds for the foreseeable future, will only Celtic supporters be able to attend the Scottish Cup semi finals?

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

The Rangers will apparently now not have any supporters inside Ibrox when they take on Utd.

This due to the current lockdown restrictions in Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

Good. Even with about a 1000 of them it'll be a total hate fest.

One less thing for our players to shite themselves at. Just need to avoid shitting it at the sight of the marble staircase.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

With Dundee being placed into Tier 3 restrictions I doubt we'll see fans back at Tannadice for a while yet.
Pity too, because I'm itching to give the hopeless bastards on the park and in the dugout absolute dogs abuse if we continue to suffer shite like last Saturday.

Haha - boy on Mad calling you a zoomer.  I'm assuming that the second bit was tongue in cheek (assuming you don't sit in the GF, of course...)

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

LOL, it was a bit tongue in cheek although I would have been tempted to boo had I been there on Saturday.

What is interesting is that Mellon and many fans seem to think this dire standard and style is the best this group can produce whilst other fans (myself included) think this team can produce better and yet we are the ones being labelled as negative.

Starting to get the feeling we'll not be at a game this season lads. Sad times indeed.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

After Sturgeon's announcement today i'm not overly confident our fans will be back for the start of next season. Or if they are, only in a small amount.

It's not good enough. A timeframe for getting our supporters back in must be given now that we are a year into this.

Otherwise clubs simply won't survive this.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

All adults should have their first vaccine by end of July i think it was? I would like to think come the start of season 21/22 we will be allowed home fans only with a % of capacity.. Possibly 50/70% of stadium capacity.

Re: When will we be inside Tannadice again?

See instead of starting the season in August and having a % of supporters in.

Would anyone  be prefer to delay the season till late Sep/early Oct when perhaps even more fans can be back?

Nope, Get it started with what we can and hope it improves.
