Have you forgotten there's a pandemic? The club has very little cash coming in. It's common sense to ride out the current situation in my opinion.

Cant see anyone coming in for Siegrist.

Also, I don't think we'll sign anyone due to the current uncertainty around fans getting in to games. I wouldn't blame anyone at the club for taking this approach. Keeping the club afloat must take priority at the moment.
If we dont sign anyone and go with what we have we will be lucky to stay up.

Well one player we won't be signing is Marc McNulty.
He's been arrested on suspicion of match fixing.
Oh dear.
Rumour yesterday late afternoon was that a deal was close with him... few hours later this!!

Let's see.
Marc McNulty had an Elland Road penalty saved in November 2018, just as Mark Ogren was finalising the takeover at Tannadice.
Almost two years later, we are just about to sign him, and he's arrested over match fixing.
It's the police who arrested McNulty, and Tony Asghar used to be in the police.
Tony Asghar was instrumental in the Ogren's buying the club, and it happened days after McNulty missed the Elland Road penalty.
Full circle there, it seems Mr Asghar has been working undercover.
Have I overthought this?

Don't know if signing Hoti has pushed Glass further down the pecking order but if it has I think going on loan again to get more first team football will be good for him and us.
Someone on EF saying Hoti refused to go out on loan when asked. Not sure if true or to what club.
Maybe a hint as to why he spent a year without a club. Sounds like Wato Mk2.
I've been wondering why Hoti has not been involved in any of the games after the quotes about him when he signed.

Selling off our best players is not riding out the situation though, how short is your memory?
My arithmetic is fine.

My comment on not signing anyone and a rumour about siegrist are not related. And who mentioned Ogren leaving?

Yep, and selling off first teamers will ensure our swift return to the championship. Once there we will struggle to survive financially anyway
We'll stay up whatever happens, don't fret.

Sorry, not trying to argue I promise. But I don't think you're getting my point.
Your opinion is that riding out the pandemic is the most important thing. Not disagreeing entirely but if that means selling players plus not recruiting then it's a recipe for disaster. Ogren came to United to succeed, and whilst the pandemic has caused massive disruption to that plan, relegation will not help us financially one bit. He needs to be strong now more than ever or his chips will be soaked in piss for sure and he will not stick around for that.
We all see things differently but my view is we need him to invest more in the short term for the long term good. We go down this time we will disappear into obscurity.
I should maybe qualify my prediction.
Under Neilson we may well not have stayed up.
Under Mellon we will.
Simple as that.
The man's got it.
can I throw this in here..

No one is trying to 'reel you in'.
You are now the equivalent of the man who's opening his window and yelling into the void. No one's interested and this posting style of trying to provoke other posters in every single post is way beyond tedious now.
Keep it up and i won't ban you. I'll just delete your account. It'll be like you were never here.
Your choice. I've been more than lenient with you btw and have tried to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Selling Siegrist would be a strange one but for the right money I could understand it.
I think he's a good Keeper but not a great one. Don't think I'd be keen on a season of Deniz though, we would need to go out and bring someone in on a free I'd imagine.
Would need to be a decent fee and someone already lined up for it to be worth it.

I was actually gonna ask about this, there are 4 games Friday night whilst both old firm games are on Sunday, nothing on Saturday and not a clue why?

They’re on Friday because Scotland have their playoff the following midweek. All games were going to be Friday night but Celtic and Rangers still being in Europe means their matches put back to Sunday as they have now games on Thursday night. The St Johnstone v Celtic game is on sky (originally scheduled for Friday night but now Sunday at 12).

Cheers for that, had no idea tbh. So I assume we are definitely not on Sky then.

Yeah pretty much what I figured, cheers for solving the Friday night mystery for me though lol.

LOA Logan and Benji are or will be targets.
Meantime Clark ineffectual, we bring on 3rd CB v Haccies and they promptly score.
Got to be signings soon you'd think.
